Survivor FOFC: The States Challenge

Today’s challenge will test your knowledge of the States. Go to the following website: http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/web_games.htm and you will be taken to the States Web Games page. The game that you are all to play is called “State Clues – Advanced” click on the link at the very bottom of the page to take you to the game.

Answer the 50 questions. At the end of the test, take a screen shot of the page, save it and post it on this page. The listed score will be your score. You have 30 minutes after this post to post your results. Any scores after this time will be void.

Whichever team has the highest combined score will be the winner. Each team’s lowest score will be thrown out.

One additional rule. You are only allowed to take the test once. Please be honest and post your first score.

Lion King: Yes you are sitting this one out

Digama: Press the "Print screen" key top right side of your keyboard, often above the "insert" key.

that will copy your screen and put it on the clipboard which you can then paste into any picture editor, such as MS Paint, save that picture

you can then attach the picture using the bottom of the reply screen (you can't use the quick reply).

Of course, I don't think it really matters since we had all five of our guys do it, and the Squids only had digamma give it a shot...

I tried this myself (knowing that I am a sucker for anything US states and trivia). Didn't do as well as I hoped, 45 out of 50. However, I did better on the capitals-advanced and place the states-advanced.

digamma, if you're using paint, it probably saved it as a .bmp... open it back up, do save as, change it to a jpeg, and it'll be nice and small and easy to upload or... e-mail it to someone or whatever

Bucc, I am disappointed in myself that I only started with about 7 minutes to spare, I think I could have gotten in the 45 range as well, you can see on my screenshot I missed TEXAS (named after Tejas, etc) because of a misclick, and more than a few questions I narrowed it down to 2 or 3 and just guessed because I had no time. That's a neat little website, going to look at the rest of the stuff there

I really don't think our tribe is going to lose a single challenge to those chumps.

That was like me...I logged on here, rushed, and did the Capitols test instead. When I came back to FOFC to post it, I saw EagleFa's screnshot and realized I'd taken the wrong test. That gave me less than 5 minutes to finish this one. Ugh.

Alright. I e-mailed it to VPI. Too bad that none of my tribe mates showed up. Looks like it was a lost cause anyway.

nice score digamma.

Actually it's

Solecismic 137 (throwing out the lowest score)
Squid 42 (unless that counts as their lowest score)

Thanks, EagleFan.

I think you can take your pick:
137-0 or 168-42.
