Thumbs down Booooooooooo!!!!!!!

Thats a giant BOOOOOOOO!!! for the Philly fans......may their teams never have a winning season again, then they can actually boo something that deserves booing. Could be worse, they could be down 20-3 at halftime like the Packers were, or they could lose to Houston like Miami did......

McNabb is eventually going to have to throw the ball more than five yards down field.

agreed and that sequence of three consecutove passes to Staley was pretty ugly, considering there was a minute or so left in the half. I guess they were only trying to get in field goal range at first, but still...

Nothing to boo? Were you even watching the game? That whole 1st and goal at the 1 sequence was enough to boo right there. Let alone wasting a challenge to gain 1 yard, the lousy play calling near the end of the half, the Martz type arrogance to not change the play calling when it's obviously not working, there's a whole list of things to boo.

To come out as unprepared for the opener is inexcusable. I generally have supported the coach but tonight has me wondering about that decision.

Oh yeah, something else to add to the boo list, losing many key defensive players last season, the team playing hard ball with Troy Vincent which signals that this is his last season and most likely Taylor's too as his contract is up.

The ownership group had one goal in mind, a new stadium to line their pockets and they have shown that they are satisfied with the stadium now that they have it. Their mantra coming into this season has been "look at the new stadium we have for you' and not 'this time we'll get to the Super Bowl' and I'm afraid that might continue to show.

Sorry for the rant but being this unprepared for a game and making as many stupid calls had finally gotten under my skin (trust me, I have been a huge supporter of the team and haven't questioned things with this much negativity until tonight).

Tampa Bay's D is "above average" but the Eagles a below average O!

That 'below average' offense ran for almost 300 yards on a Monday night game against your Giants, not sure where you get this below average idea. They're top 1/4 in the league in offense.

Well, I'm freaking on call and had 4 patients come into my local ER at once!! So, I got to see all of 5 minutes of the game. I'm rather annoyed about the outcome, but I'm even more annoyed I didn't get to see the game. Even worse, another patient is on the way to the ER Tonight is a crappy crappy night. I'm on call every night this week too . Furthermore, I have a full load of patients each day (so I can't nap during the day.) Hopefully, tomorrow night is a slower night.

No prob Eaglesfan, hope things get going better for you.

Eaglefan,

I agree with almost all of your thoughts. I said in another thread that I thought the gameplan lacked any imagination. Not a good night for the coaching staff IMHO.

Keep it in perspective, Eaglesfan...

I'm sure it sucked more for the emergency patients than you. They probably would've preferred to watch the game too.

You think it sucks for you, imagine what it must be like for them.

Well, I'm on call again and going on little sleep. I just saw one ER patient, but am now at home (hopefully for the remainder of the night) But I finally just got a chance to check this board as I've been working all day. While last night was a crappy night for me, you are right: it was much worse for them (and is worse on an ongoing basis in many ways). Thanks for the perspective reminder everyone

Have a good night everyone .. I'm off to sleep (hopefully without the ER calling for consults to interrupt my sleep) after reading these last few threads.
