I don't like the new strategies so far.

I lost 3-2 to a team running a 5-3-2, I dominated with 65% possession, but he scored on 2 counter-attacks. With a disastrous midfield and inad/inad/weak attack he scored 3 goals against a solid/formidable/excellent defense.

Defensive ratings, at least MY defensive ratings, have no bearing on how many goals you let in during a game. I'd expect pathetic attacks to be given even more boost with 5-3-2/counter-attack being a favorite now.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of SouthPark, and they seem formidable at it.

and I'm losing...

pretty even attack vs defense on both teams and it was a 3-1 loss to me with a formidable CA.
Oh well... early exit.

I couldn't agree with you more. Certainly adds a flavor to the match. That was a good match. I was suprised at the ratings you put up. I was thinking more along the match you had with the Misfitz ratings wise.

Everytime I saw a missed opportunity, I was cringing at the thought of the counterattack.

This will make me lean even further to running the 3-4-3, especially against teams that counterattack, as mid will not be as important, and anything I can add to the attack will be appreciated.

You can only fight against the tide for so long before it scores a goal.

I think if the game matters, I'll put my high passing middies as offensive defenders, like I did with Yuri... Adds to the midfield, while boosts the C-A. Obviously I don't want to add to the mid too much.

Another thought about the 3-4-3 vs C-A... you will be lowering your midfield... if you lower it enough the C-A won't even work. So they will be suffering from "C-A lag," without the bennies of the C-A. Interesting... to say the least.

dola...
I had a red carded 4* defender... that probably boosted my ratings, along with you injuring my 2* forward and replacing him with my 3.5* forward in the second half...
