Another random question
The topic of this question is "HUH?!"
I just looked at my Series Spy again and noticed that a person in my series paid 424k for a player valued at only 96k. I looked at the transfer history, nothing suspicious there except the player came from Slashers FC, a youth squad promotion for him. Now I'm uber-confused. Of course I can't see his stats, but with this as all I can see: 19 years, weak form, healthy No recent game found A sympathetic guy who is temperamental and honest. Has disastrous experience and passable leadership abilities. Nationality: USA Assessed value: 90 000 US$ Wage: 850 US$/week Owner: Rocky Mountain Fires Warnings: 0 Career Goals: 0 Career Hattricks: 0 League goals this season: 0 Cup goals this season: 0 He really doesn't seem to be worth even 424k. The rest of this guy's transfers going back to 7/30/02 seem much more on par, so what gives??? ~terpk P.S. This is the #1 guy in my series, I'm #2, the team who was 2nd last season is #3 and the OTHER GIRL HT'er in my series is #4, we're all reasonably close at the top (i.e. the second half of this season is going to be important, too). So it's not like I want to "get" him, but what an odd purchase.

Dola. Another thing I just noticed from a team that just formed (er, became a non-computer team) in the last few weeks or so:
Date Type Players To/From Price Value then 9/1/2003 Bought Jörgen Åhstedt from MUraiders 110 000 US$ (11 000 US$) 8/31/2003 Bought Wang Fook-Khui from MUraiders 100 000 US$ (66 000 US$) 8/30/2003 Bought Graham Williamson from MUraiders 100 000 US$ (53 000 US$) 8/30/2003 Bought Ken Silverman from MUraiders 50 000 US$ (16 000 US$) 8/30/2003 Sold Zhi Yen-Ti to MUraiders 200 000 US$ (68 000 US$) 8/30/2003 Sold Stacey Healy to Jedi Peas 255 552 US$ (84 000 US$) 8/30/2003 Bought Don Harms from MUraiders 75 000 US$ (22 000 US$) 8/30/2003 Bought Charles Mcdowell from MUraiders 50 000 US$ (21 000 US$) 8/30/2003 Bought Paul Phillips from MUraiders 100 000 US$ (52 000 US$) That's a LOT of purchases from MUraiders for generally more than the player was worth...nice round numbers, too, like 50k, 75k, 100k, etc..and all the purchases were on 8/30/03. I'm not sure why I decided to look at all this stuff, I never have in the past. These are odd tho ~terpk

Ok, here's the deal on York. He was a 19 yo 3 star central defender for Slashers. When you factor in his form, which was probably inad at the time, since he didn't play last week, and his lack of experience, you're probably dealing with a excellent defender, my guess anyways. That or a solid with good passing.

The combination of age and performance makes the price tag on the first player not entirely out of range.
The second case seems entirely unkosher and should definitely be noted for a friendly GM in your favourite country. |

TK, you gotta report those goofs, both of them. If you don't I will. This is amazng that people think they'll do some 8 player switches between them and nobody will notice... Even more, one of the two team is managed by a "zzim61288" and the other is managed by a "zzim612"... close enough to report them ![]() FM

Silly question...how do I report the guy of NJ since he definitely looks like one to report.
I guess I'm still not convinced that the other one should have sold for 424k, but all the other transfers on RMF's history look legit and I don't think slashers would do that... ~terpk

The first one is completely fair. Definately market value for a 19 year old excellent.
Report the second. In several people should report the second. |

I have an excellent middie valued at 98k. It is very possible the man bought an excellent primary skill guy for 424K. He could have also been a guy from Canada bribing him to throw the WC so they could win. Frogman, care to fight that evidence! It is solid theories based on the basis of seconds of deep thought and an overwhelming hatred for the evil peoples of Canada. Although there bacon allows me to not attempt to destroy them at every step. Beware!

dola, nevermind, The Afoci got in there.
To report someone go to the transfer market search page. On the right there is a link entitled "Report suspected cheaters". Click on it and fill out the form. You will need to know both (or all) Team IDs. Last edited by Masked : 09-12-2003 at 10:09 PM. |

I have a transactions like the first one on my list so I don't think it's altogether unreasonable:
7/31/2003 Bought Pierre Wellens from Vetzakskes 612 000 US$ (105 000 US$) SI

Oh, for everybody's information, I did report the NJ guy. Thanks for all of your help, I thought it looked odd but really had no idea what to do or if it was really odd...
