Hello everyone,

This is the thread I will use to lighten my workload of hunting the game ratings for the more than 120 or so Hattrick members we have on FOFC.

The only thing you need to post here is your team ratings, as it appears on the right side of your league game report. Only the one for your team, the one for your opponent is irrelevant.

As an example, here's what my post for my team's last significant match ratings (yeah, you know, the one with the solid midfield

) would look like:

Do a simple copy/paste instead of writing it up.
I need everything from the team name to the "Left Side Attack" rating.
Do not alter it in any way (like deleting the "Player rating and Team formation" line because it doesn't look cute).

This is simply because I use this whole thing just as it is. Your team name is need to add your entry in the ratings database and the it is easier to ask excel to ignore the extra line between your team name and the actual ratings than go and delete it everytime I input a team's ratings...

Also, if you make a mistake (like you realize a few hours later that you posted the wrong week), please PM me or repost your rating. DO NOT EDIT YOUR OLD RATINGS. There's a chance that I've already entered your ratings in the database and I might miss the "edit" mention on posts.

At some point on Monday, maybe even in the afternoon, once I'll have copied all the posted ratings, I will post in this thread that I am starting to hunt ratings from Hattrick. At that point, it will be too late for you to post your team ratings. Not that big a deal, it's simply that I don't want to wait for some guys that may not log into FOFC until Wednesday for whatever reason. Posting your ratings should not not take a lot of your time (do it right after reading you game report) but it will same me a lot of time. The Monday night deadline should give ample time to a lot of people to post their ratings.

Finally, comments about your team and the score of the game are welcome and encouraged. As long as your ratings are clearly separated from your comment, I won't have any problems with it.

I had been paying some attention to your ratings, as I see all, and I mean ALL of the FOFC game ratings, and I was about to comment on your first solid in anything. Now, pump that porr midfield to a regular inadequate at home, weak away from home, and you'll be in a pretty good shape to promote. Good luck!

Yeah, that was a crappy showing and a crazy match. Many, many things factor in those low ratings. I kind of overstrategized myself, if that's possible (oh, scratch that, it's very possible

I knew coming into the match that my opponent had played 4 consecutive weeks of 5-3-2 formations, always getting disastrous midfields, but getting some formidable-formidable-solid ratings in defense. Disatrous midfield for him meant PIC for me for sure... His offense had never been better than inadequate-inadequate-weak. So basically, I had to get a reasonable midfield (despite the PIC), while trying to generate as much offense as possible. SO I set my lineup with Boom, my newly acquired solid winger/passable defender set offensively to help my wing attack on that side, with my ofensive winger on that side. On the other side, at wing, I had Rasmussen, a solid playmaker in poor form set toward middle because it was his turn to play wing in my rotation of trainee. I decided to go with Rasmussen because, even though he is in poor form, this is the game where I need the smallest boost to my midfield (upcoming opponents get solid and excellent midfields). To generate some offense, I plugged in Groonbörn at inner mid, played offensively. While he's only inadequate at playmaking, he's a solid passer, so it was gonna help my attack ratings. Finally I set Hegger (solid defender/inadequate passer) offensively at central defender to make up for Groonörn's only inadequate playmaking. This and Boom's offensive setting explain the two inadequate defense ratings. They should have been either at least solid usually, or even excellent.

Then came in the stuff I couldn't control. God (solid scoring/solid passing) got injured in the 22nd minute, and his replacement (Olenfeldt, passable scoring/inadequate passing) got sent off in the 42nd minute for headbutting an opponent. That was it for the central attack rating, which still ended up solid. Then Groonbörn got hurt... All in all, a very sucky game. Even worse, Hegger got his 3rd yellow of the season and will have to sit out next week's game

One thing I learned though: playing defenders offensive isn't really worth it...

About the only thing that went right today was my bowel movement. And even that was just so-so.

I suffered a 1-1 MOTS tie at home against one of two teams I'm battling for 6th place - goddammit. My opponent got one shot all day, which he of course made, while I got 5 but only made good on one. This wasted my first-ever excellent midfield, and a rainstorm ruined my home attendance. To add insult to this injury, the other team I'm battling with to get out of the auto-relegation zone handily won their match over the #2 side in the series when said #2 side in the series mailed in their performance (an apparent PIC). This turn of events left me firmly, and probably permanently, in the auto-relegatioin zone.

Somebody in Div V leave a light on for me - I'm comin' home!

Very disappointing 1 - 1 draw at home. Team record 55 NSI, I successfully matched my best attack (solid on the right) against my opponents' weakest defense (solid on the left), gave up an early Quick special-event goal, and got one lousy scoring chance out of 57% and 66% possession.

Not to mention losing one of my four solids to injury... fortunately, a) it's only two weeks, b) he was out next week due to suspension anyway, and c) next week is a walkover.

A 5-5 MOTS tie against the second place team in v.53 which I lost to in week six 3-2. Luckily I tied, but it looks like I will have to settle for third place.

I believe that the 71 NSI is my highest ever. I decided to go with the run-and-shoot for th efirst time in a league match playing only one IM at normal and my CD at normal. Everyone else was offensive and the ratings bear that out. I think ardent may have swung WHFC to the dark side.

I wouldn't play a centreback offensive in a single centreback scheme. Especially when you want him to cover for Boom. If you have the personnel for an offensive centreback (high defense and high stamina/playmaking combination), though, one possibility would be to play Boom normal (still get benefit of solid winger and keep the passable defense), Heggar offensive next to him and Kindander flanking him as the second centreback. If you're worried about the wing defense opposite Boom, you could try Kindander as a "toward wing" centreback.

I was okay with playing both of them offensive for that one game, since I knew my opponent had some very ordinary attack ratings (nothing better than inadequate) and some out of the ordinary defense ratings (formidable x2). For that reason, I was all right with the gamble of lowering my defense ratings in order to try and raise my other ratings. The thing is even though Boom was played offensively, it still only gave me an excellent on that side, which is the why of my conclusion... I will have some planning to do this week, with Hegger now suspended for a week, but I've got an ace in Matts Bohin, a passable defender with passable experience who just got his form back from poor up to solid in three weeks. He may very well be the one to play for Hegger...

a nice 2-0 win at home, but lost my #2 defender for 2 weeks and my #4 defender for 3 weeks. Doesn't help that my #3 defender is barely recovering from an injury.

The only thing you need to post here is your team ratings, as it appears on the right side of your league game report. Only the one for your team, the one for your opponent is irrelevant. As an example, here's what my post for my team's last significant match ratings (yeah, you know, the one with the solid midfield ) would look like: ===================================== Pintendre Pittbulls Player rating and Team formation Midfield: solid Right Side Defence: solid Central Defence: passable Left Side Defence: passable Right Side Attack: solid Central Attack: passable Left Side Attack: weak ===================================== Do a simple copy/paste instead of writing it up. I need everything from the team name to the "Left Side Attack" rating. Do not alter it in any way (like deleting the "Player rating and Team formation" line because it doesn't look cute). This is simply because I use this whole thing just as it is. Your team name is need to add your entry in the ratings database and the it is easier to ask excel to ignore the extra line between your team name and the actual ratings than go and delete it everytime I input a team's ratings... Also, if you make a mistake (like you realize a few hours later that you posted the wrong week), please PM me or repost your rating. DO NOT EDIT YOUR OLD RATINGS. There's a chance that I've already entered your ratings in the database and I might miss the "edit" mention on posts. At some point on Monday, maybe even in the afternoon, once I'll have copied all the posted ratings, I will post in this thread that I am starting to hunt ratings from Hattrick. At that point, it will be too late for you to post your team ratings. Not that big a deal, it's simply that I don't want to wait for some guys that may not log into FOFC until Wednesday for whatever reason. Posting your ratings should not not take a lot of your time (do it right after reading you game report) but it will same me a lot of time. The Monday night deadline should give ample time to a lot of people to post their ratings. Finally, comments about your team and the score of the game are welcome and encouraged. As long as your ratings are clearly separated from your comment, I won't have any problems with it. To everybody who will post their ratings in here, I say: THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! And even that was just so-so. I suffered a 1-1 MOTS tie at home against one of two teams I'm battling for 6th place - goddammit. My opponent got one shot all day, which he of course made, while I got 5 but only made good on one. This wasted my first-ever excellent midfield, and a rainstorm ruined my home attendance. To add insult to this injury, the other team I'm battling with to get out of the auto-relegation zone handily won their match over the #2 side in the series when said #2 side in the series mailed in their performance (an apparent PIC). This turn of events left me firmly, and probably permanently, in the auto-relegatioin zone. Somebody in Div V leave a light on for me - I'm comin' home!

Team record 55 NSI, I successfully matched my best attack (solid on the right) against my opponents' weakest defense (solid on the left), gave up an early Quick special-event goal, and got one lousy scoring chance out of 57% and 66% possession. Luckily I tied, but it looks like I will have to settle for third place. I believe that the 71 NSI is my highest ever. I decided to go with the run-and-shoot for th efirst time in a league match playing only one IM at normal and my CD at normal. Everyone else was offensive and the ratings bear that out.
