Training program..."hmm when should i sell these guys?" "got me!"
I am currently training playmaking, am 4th in d.iv, and with one more win, I should clinch staying in the division. Right now our conference is more competitive than any other I've seen before. Any given week, almost any team can beat or tie any other depending on the team attitude. As for plans, I have no intensions of trying to get out of d.iv anytime soon. With that in mind here are my current trainees:
Starters: Midfield: Leone - 20y formidable pm'er, 5 weeks trained Muller - 20y formdiable pm'er, 4 weeks trained Lindhell - 19y formdiable pm'er, 4 weeks trained Wing: Snashall 22y excellent wing inad pm'ing, 0 weeks trained kaplan 30y passable wing inad pm'ing, 14 weeks trained Trainees: Midfield: Petronia - 19y formidable pm'er, 3 weeks trained Hansson - 19y solid pm'er, 2 weeks trained Hempenius - 18y solid pm'er, 2 weeks trained Wing/Other: Finch - 21y solid pm'er, 13 weeks trained (1 week mid, 12 wing) Miralles - 19y solid winger, wretched pm'er 9 weeks trained (wing) Goldman - 18y passable pm'er, 0 weeks trained Okay, here are the things I know for sure, once Hansson, Hempenius, Finch, Miralles pop they go out the door. I am thinking of selling Petronia as well once he pops. It would be nice to perhaps get a good 17y or two that I can train forever at the beginning of next season. So, I was thinking of hanging onto my 3 starters so that I remain competitive and selling everyone else once they pop. That way I could try to buy some really good trainees, and be able to start them in 1.5 seasons. I was prolly gonna buy solid pm'ers, but I could always try to buy excellents? Also, Goldman is a high passable pm'er, I could just hold onto him and wait till I have a gap in training to put him in since he most likely won't sell for much now. I want some ideas here.. I'm not really sure where to go with this team. It'd be sweet if I could try to get a U-20 player next season or something to train. Thanks for any help by the way.. Over and out.. Hobbes- p.s. - woops I had Leone twice instead of Lindhell.. sorry =)

Leone, Muller, and Leone aren't old- keep them as starters and keep training them until they are crossed over by your new trainees or until you think you can plug in your trainees without your team skipping a beat.
I used to care about wings, but since they train so slowly at PM, it's not worth worrying about unless you want to keep a couple on your B Team to get you some spare change (i.e. get a pass pm/pass wing at 18 and train them up to exc pm/pass wing 2 years later for a "small" 6 figure profit- it's nothing to sneeze at but small compared to the fact that you can bump an inner midfielder 5 times in that time and that gives a 7 figure return). And I'll keep warning about U-20 players. I think everyone is underestimating how little they will cost. Everyone will try to snag the ones in the smaller countries for cheaper because that 17yo double solid wingback or striker in Sverige will cost $5M or more and it will take double solid in the big countries to make U-20. In a new market like Liteuva, do you really want to pay $1M for a 17yo pass PM with no secondaries just so he can be a U-20 player? SI

Sell all of your players and give the money to The Evil Gargs . . . you know you want to . . .
Actually against my better judgement . . . Keep Leone, Petronia and Leone as your starters. Muller before week 1 of next season, you should be able to pull in a couple mil for him at outstanding. Spend half on a new trainee, the other half on improving your non-training positions. As for the rest, sell the players when they pop and use that money to replace them with higher potential trainees. |
