Thumbs up talk about a fast recovery!

Thomas Gröönborn is one of my trainee midfielder. Not much on playmaking, as he is only inadequate, but he has solid passing and inadequate defending. Thomas is 19 and I don't really know what I'll do with him, but for now he's getting trained at inner mid in my playmaking program.

Anyway, last Sunday, he got injured during the game. Right after the game, his status said "+3" as in injured for three weeks. The very next day (Monday's update), it was down to "+2", so I figured "cool, he'll only miss training and should be fine to play in the friendly next week". Thomas' value dropped in value from 176k to 136, a drop of 40k. I was kind of anxious this morning to see how much value he'd have gained back to give me an idea of wehn he'd be back. What do I find this morning? Thomas has gained 5k of value and his status is now "+1, bruised but training"!!! WOOHOO! This means he won't lose his training this week and should have enough time to be "bruised but playing" before next week's friendly. He usually doesn't play on Sundays, only on Wednesdays, but last weekend my opponent had a pretty disastrous midfield, I felt like I could let him play a league game to help him get experience...

This is kinda weird, huh? I had 2 doctors on staff on Sunday and I hired 4 extra docs right after the match...

Comments are welcome.

The same thing happened to West Henrietta FC recently as our leading scorer, 18 YO Donald Oldham went down for three weeks. I immediately hired two doctors (4 total) and he was ready to go the next weekend. He scored a hattrick for me too.

Definitely a part of it is luck, I had a similar experience. I had a guy have a 4 week injury and he was bruised but training to play in my next league match (1 week later). I have 4 physios and 2 docs (and a partridge in a pear tree), I don't usually buy more of either, train at 100%, and I know I've been lucky....

P.S. I just noticed that "4 physios and 2 docs" is kinda like me. But I have 4 physios and 4 docs...

Age plays a big part.

Thanks for your comments. Yeha, luck has probably a lot to do with it, and his fairly young age, and the fact I have doctors on staff, but I think bbor has the answer: THE POUTINE

from the iheartpoutine website:
Because everyone deserves to die of a heart attack before they hit forty, the Quebecois invented poutine. Poutine is the best thing to happen to the potato since just about....ever. Essentially, what you have is a dish made of fries slathered in gravy and cheese curds. Often times people substitute melted mozarella or similar cheeses instead of using actual curds. This usually works.

Now you know all about it, the poutine is the way to go for a fast recovery, especially after a week of stamina training...

Cheese fries and gravy are something that needs more widespread availability in the US. The only place I remember seeing it a lot was in Louisiana.
