Ahem...YOU'RE FIRED
Wow, I just got canned after my 2027 season with the Vikings and I'm a bit shocked. I thought you usually get a warning that management isn't happy, but no such thing this time. We missed the playoffs three straight seasons (4-12, 7-8-1, 8-8), but had made the playoffs 13 of 15 seasons before that, building up some confidence from ownership I would have thought. I guess the losing, combined with losing 88 million last year, was too much.
Oh well, I can now claim to be one of the few people to actually lose at FOF4. The few, the proud, the inept. I'll have to take my next career a little more seriously.

I just lost in the SuperBowl last night...
Damn that hurts. wonder if it's not better to actually NOT MAKE the big one...rather than going to, losing it and falling flat on your face and having to start all over again.

Ryche: With that record, I'd probably fire you too.

Well, that depends. Sometimes I make it to the big game with a team that's decent or good, but not the best. Then it's not so bad. On the other hand, sometimes I make a big push and have a lot of key contracts expiring at the same time. In those cases, when I have the best roster, I'd BETTTER win the Front Office Bowl, otherwise I'll have to start over and who knows when I'll get back. |

In the real NFL, I'd definitely expect to be on the hotseat with my performance. I thought FOF was a lot more forgiving though, especially considering most of the other teams were offering their GM positions to me.
It's not so bad though, I was seriously considering switching teams anyway. Now I'll just do it with a new career and I'll take the computer's expectations in consideration a bit more.

I think there should be an option to be able to switch teams without the risk of being fired. I know it discounts the financial aspect of the game, but that really isn't the part that's focused on by most players anyway.
