Need advice
I am playing the #1 team in v.53 this weekend and I have a keeper dilemma. My #1 keeper has gone into the form tank. Which one of these guys should I play:
Alejandro Arenas 388 000 US$, 21 years, inadequate form Has wretched experience and poor leadership abilities Stamina: wretched Keeper: solid Playmaking: disastrous Passing: disastrous Winger: disastrous Defending: disastrous Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: wretched ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leon Eaton 174 000 US$, 18 years, excellent form Has disastrous experience and passable leadership abilities Stamina: poor Keeper: inadequate Playmaking: wretched Passing: disastrous Winger: wretched Defending: disastrous Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: poor Is excellent/ inadequate better than inadequate/solid? It is important since I am run-and-shooting now, so I may need a save or two ![]()

Arenas. in inadequate form, he'll still play equivelent to a low-mid solid keeper.
Eaton in excellent form will be about the same as a low passable. I use 2 levels form to 1 level skill

inadequate form isn't exactly in the bottom of the form tank, we're not talking about him being in poor or wretched form. At 388k of value, he's still in good shape and may pull his usuall 3 stars performance, but it very doubtful an inadequate keeper, even in excellent form, will ever give you a 3 stars performance. Even more, your solid dude has a tiny experience advantage over your other fellow.
I had about the same situation, where my keeper dropped 410k to 375k, gradually over a few weeks and eventually dropping to inadequate form, but he never gave me less than 3 stars and my defensive ratings stayed about the same. I would never have even been tempted to play my inadequate keeper instead of my solid one... FM

yeah go with the solid. He'll get you 2.5* min @ inad
That inad will give you 2.5* max.

Thanks for all the help. I figured as much, but Arenas was in excellent form just three weeks ago and had a value of $481K.

Since it's a keeper and only has one variable, just look at their value to get the answer. Even in excellent form, Eaton is only worth $174K while Arenas in inad is worth double that.

The tank is when your keeper drops from excellent to weak in one week and doesn't recover for 10-11+ weeks

Another reason you should forgo bidding on the 1st week 17yr solid keeper. You'll depress him too much to train him to a U-20 level!
