Another week of friendlies...

Frankfort United (8533)

Little over 1K in supporters, would rather not travel internationally if possible.

Why not travel for an international? As long as you go someplace where they can draw 2400+, you'll still make money and you'll get double the experience. I've gotten to where I do international friendlies exclusively. The only time I've actually lost money was last week when I forgot to schedule one and ended up accepting a challenge from a small team at the last second just to get a friendly in (even then I lost less than $1K).

Well, most of the teams around here aren't quite big enough yet (nor am I a big enough draw) to make up the cash, and I'm far too lazy to blanket friendly offers on foreign teams.

ok, that's acceptable.

Being lazy is a good excuse in my book, if I just could get my wife to accept it. *sigh*

oh, and I do get more than 2400 fans on pretty much all of my home friendlies. We drew 2700+ yesterday at the South Bay Saints Stadium...

It's been so long since I played a home friendly, I have no idea how many I'd draw.

I do have about 1150 supporters, so I figure I'd do ok.

Bee - yesterday, with 1099 supporters and overcast weather, I drew 2200 something fans with a really small Mexican team coming to my place (he challenged me, too...bonus ). You could probably do about the same.

I'm playing a European(Sweden maybe?) Division III team next week that draws about 4,000 for friendlies. They'll kill me and probably win 7-0, but that's fine with me.

I forgot who in chat said I should go to Island, but:

10/22/2003 (Friendly): Real Reykjavik - Houston Hippopotami
I'm going to be playing a team in the top series in Iceland.
