Kansas Vs. KSU big 12 game of the week.

I think thing should be a very interesting matchup. You have kansas, which looks like a much better team this year after finding a good coach. and Kansas State just doesnt seem to be able to put all the pieces together.

I give Kansas a lot of credit for their improvement, but KSU still wins this game, and I don't really see it being that close.

I think it could have been a very interesting game this year in Lawrence, but in Manhattan I figure it should be a win for KSU in the 35-24 range. Somewhere in there.

I think that KSU is a very weak football team this year. Texas made them seem good, but Texas is weak.

Kansas will lose this game, as Kansas State is a better rounded team. Ell Roberson will be able to run on this defense simply because he can on almost all of them. But the real winner will be Bill Whittemore. He'll prove to some more people that he's the solid third best QB in the league behind fellow-seniors White and Symons. Some may say Brad Smith, but from a passing standpoint and the ability to work with little talent, I'd take Whittemore any day. Who will be the best QB next year? Smith, McNeal, Fields, and Young are good candidates. Chance Mock may transfer...just a gut feeling.

Kansas hasn't quite caught up to their in-state rivals, but kudos to Mangino for elevating the talent level and instilling a "can do" attitude with this team. Kansas is no longer a team that can be checked off with an automatic "W" on the opponent's schedule. They should be fun to watch over the next couple of seasons.

Going to have to agree with the others. Kansas is still 3-5 years away from competing with KSU. Most Kansas fans are thinking this is a 40ish to 20ish game in favor of KSU.

Kansas' run defense is poor and I fully expect KSU to take advantage of that. Sproles will have at least 100 yards and a couple of scores. Roberson will probably be comparable to that.

I'm also counting on a blocked punt or two by KSU. Kansas has given up at least one blocked punt in their last two games.
