Anybody get this yet? From the reviews on IGN, it sounds pretty good. I skipped Tricky, but I really liked the first one. If anyone has it, please post your thoughts on it. Thanks!

I loved SSX: Tricky - If this one's out, I'm getting it soon.

I read the review and I'm getting this one tomorrow. What the heck, I'm in Kansas and need a gift for all my work. I will post some impressions this week if it's out here.

I picked it up. It's different from Tricky. Tricky had a little 'nasty' streak in it; this one seems a little more laid back (I've only played for a little while). Controls are a little different too. All the action takes play on one mountain, and not 10 or so venues. Online play - woohoo! Todd, let's hook up.

BTW, SSX Tricky IMO is the best 40+ bucks I've ever plucked down on a PS2 game, bar none. It's in the bargain bin now. A definite must have. And I never thought I'd like something from the 'extreme sports' / snowboarding / etc. genre (I never got into Tony Hawk).

I'm in agreement with you Joe. SSX Tricky was quite a surprise and it's one of the few games I still have in my collection.

I need to quit looking at online adapters and get one. I'll check them out as well today!

Picked it up yesterday and so far it's better than I had thought it would be. They really beefed up the game over SSX Tricky.

Tonight, I'm going to really get into this game.

It's awesome so far. I've unlocked Peak 2, and find it much harder than Peak 1. Very enjoyable, and well worth $50.

Forgive my ignorance, but what are these games about? I don't have a PS2 or XBox, but I'm always looking for a reason to get one. I saw a commercial for this SSX3 today, but all I could gleen from it was some kind of sinister snowboard game....? Anyway, some kind of description would be nice.

Here's a review from IGN.

I can't really sum it up in one paragraph, the review will give you an idea on what the game is all about.

I second the notion that this game is the prettiest I've seen on my ps2 thus far.

Basically Extreme Snowboarding, racing and tricking. Its a blast, in my opinion the best PS2 Launch Game (SSX).
