Ravens / Broncos
Without any semblance of a quality QB today, what are the odds that the Broncos drop one to the seemingly medicore Ravens?

High.
If Kanell can't go, I'd give a slight lean to the Ravens. If he can, I think the Broncos pull it out. The one great thing is the Bronco defense. They simply aren't going to allow the Ravens to score a lot of points or rack up a lot of yardage if the offense can generate some first downs. If Kanell can go, I think Denver wins this football game. I've been accused of being a homer, I know. My record at this point doesn't back that up. I've been perfect on my Denver Picks this year. I've nailed all 7, getting the spread right on 5. (missed the Detroit game and missed by a couple of points last week against Minnesota) I think Kanell will go and I think Denver will win this game by a TD or more. TroyF |

I'd be pretty surprised if the Broncos win today. You're top 2 quarterbacks are barely part of the team, and you're facing a pretty good defense. They won't be able to just run all day.
Ravens will pull it out. |

I really doubt that Kanell can lead them to a win...

It seems to me the Broncos need a new damn punter. Micah Knorr has 3 punts for an average of 33.0 yards and a long of 35... Wow.

Have fun with Micah "I can't punt over 35 yards" Knorr. We sure had enough of him in Dallas.

Oh just wait, he'll shank a couple to get that average down some.

There's been at least 2 crap calls that I've seen the referee made against Baltimore - the first none-catch and the grounding call against Boller. The announcer guy says 3 but I didn't see the second none-catch by Heap. They must be trying to see if they can top the incompetence shown by MLB umpires during the playoff.

There were three HORRIBLE calls against the Ravens. There were four HORRIBLE calls against the Broncos. (Clear offsides and interference not called, interference on Heap that shouldn't have been, bad spot on a QB sneak in the first half)
That said, it doesn't matter who QB'd the Broncos today. They didn't play with any fire. They were as flat as a three day old soda pop. (I'll get both in there so nobody throws a fit) Dropped passes, stupid penalties, blown coverages. . . they did it all. The team that deserved to win the game did. It just wasn't by officiating though, it was a horribly officiated game all the way around. TroyF |

Yeah, I saw that off-side by the Ravens that weren't called too. The announcer guy was amazed by that, too. Crazily bad calls in that game.

I think the NFL has the worst officiating in professional sports. I get sick of hearing the excuses they put out. Some of the calls they miss blind men could pick up.
The NBA uses a superstar/team system wich is a bunch of crap. Still, most of the time you know what you're going to get going into the game. With the NFL, you really have no idea what type of officiating you're going to get any given Sunday. I can understand some mistakes. I can't understand multiple blatent mistakes in the same game. I'd say there were a total of 12 calls blown today in the Bronco/Raven game. I don't mean close ones either. Flat out blown calls. They went against both teams and at the end of the day the better team won, but there is no excuse to be that bad. TroyF |

What a horrible performance. Not only am I a Broncos fan, but I had Kanell, Smith, and Sharpe on my fantasy team. With Boller on the bench. At least he's no Kanell.

Not surprising that the Broncos lost... I would've been very surprised if they would've won....
