Windows XP Error

I had been playing The Fourth Edition on an older laptop that I have - a Pentium II 400mhz. This laptop started to have lock-up issues, and I eventually went out and purchased a Pentium IV 2.4mhz system - running Windows XP. I re-installed Front Office, and had no issues - until reaching Week 17. At the end of this week, the game stops and Windows XP displays an error box. Clicking on details reveals: AppName: frfoot4.exe, AppVer: 4.0.0.3, ModName: frfoot4.exe, offset: 001d8d88.

I saw a post that mentioned that Windows XP needs to have the latest update. This was already installed. I went out the the Windows site, and updated everything they had. No luck. Re-installed Windows XP. No luck. It seems nothing I do can get past this error.

Any thoughts?

I would reformat the HD and then reinstall windows. Delete your current partitian, create a new one, then install XP. If your system came with XP already installed, you may not have an actual XP CD....maybe just a reformat/recovery CD.
