Team Confidence
I've been carrying 5 psychologists for the last half of the season, and it has been wonderful for awhile. Coupled with a decent streak of results, I'm a little worried about being overconfident for the qualifier. So, my question is, if I fire 4 (or all 5) of these psychos, am I going to take a confidence hit from that? Anyone have any idea what the chance of an overconfidence is?

Look at it this way, if the team you are playing is obviously in 1st place, they're probably overconfident as well.

I highly doubt you'll get an overconfidence hit in a qualifier, but I could be wrong. I've generally never had to worry about OC hitting with 2 shrinks and being at "wonderful" as long as I'm playing a team within 4 ranking slots of me within the division.
Having said that, and never have played a qual. match other than for promotion.. Who the heck knows what will happen? In regards to the confidence hit from firing shrinks, not 100% sure, but in my case of firing (at most I carry 2, when playing a team out of the 4 rank range I fire them both if at wonderful) I've never seen a confidence drop because of the firings, but I'm not sure if like other ratings there are multiple levels of "wonderful" and if so I was well into it before the firings. One thing to note though is early this season *alot* of people were complaining of wacky overconfidence events when well below wonderful and with no shrinks. So who knows if they have tinkered with how confidence works this season. -Eilim |

You might check out AS Baconfats team, it's kinda interesting to see the players we were playing against seeing as how he's on a selling spree. |

For what it's worth, I fired all 5 of my psychos, and after the update, my confidence fell to strong. I'm guessing strong is better than overconfident, so I'm not going to complain.

the difference between strong and wonderful isnt that huge.
I experienced over-confidence only once, when i was destroying an all bot series. (I went undefeated and scored almost 100 goals.) I didnt even have psychologists but i was just raping the teams so badly my teams confidence went through the roof. I won that game anyway so it really didnt matter. :P I usually start a season with at least 3 pyschologists to boost my confidence quickly. If i expect to do well and win all/most of my games i will fire them once my confidence has reached wonderful. If I expect to struggle, I will keep them all season and even hire extra temporarily if I forsee a particularly heavy loss. This method has been very effective for me so far at keeping confidence high and other then that one time i have never had issues with being over-confident.
