Paris Musketeers

A logo that is based on a little research. Presumably, this logo could have could have gone the way of a big swoopy hat, but I liked this better. IHopefully, Darkiller will as well.

Nice. I was trying to put something together with a similar cross (this one looks like the one Charlie Sheen was wearing - mine was a little plainer) and a moderately swoopy hat (attached) in the foreground, but it wasn't working. There was another white and red-orange image that I found which reminded me of Buccaneer Bruce, but it wouldn't have translated without a lot of work.

whoops, deleted then reposted to attach said swoopy hat. Slow connection...

edit: and don't worry about working on top of me, I'm still not as strong with doing logos completely from scratch, and won't be until I get the hang of Illustrator, which may take a while. Yours are going to be more polished, and I'm all for everyone getting the best logos they can.

viva le swoopy hat!

(sorry to work on top of you. Dar asked, so I assumed it was open)

for the record, my research was not a charlie sheen movie.

in the movies the musketeers are swordsmen, so I considered a rapier or foil. The problem is a foil al but vanishes as you reduce it down to your hemet size.

Good point about the foil, I did a helmet for the "Warriors" based off of an old logo a buddy made for a MicroLeague team, which was a big W with a sword through it. The sword is hardly noticeable on the helmet.

honestly, it was "musketeer uniform." I ws looking for period minatures but came across reenactment material. Historic Reenactors are a pissy lot, unlike the SCA, so I knew they would have what I was after.

nice choice of colors. kinda reminds me of the Rams' colors. i like that mock-up of the road and home jersey's. what about having a football wit hthe musketeer hat and a thin French mustache?

THANK YOU FRITZ FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE.

I just LOVE it. It's an amazing work.
It's exactly the colors and the "theme" I had in mind and you've been able to put that in graphics.
It's awesome.

Thank you so very much.

***Newsflash (AP)****

According to French top selling daily newspaper "Parisian Today", the Musketeers franchise has hired San Francisco 49er General Manager, Darkiller, of the "Real49ersFootball" league, for the running of their day-to-day activities.

Darkiller, who has orchestrated 16 SuperBowl titles in his 33 years with the 49ers, will take over the Paris Muskateers as this new 32-team Pro Football league will begin playing in a short time.

Darkiller said he expects the Musketeers to play great football right away.
"Championships are what thrives me, either with the 49ers or here in Paris, my philosophy is SuperBowl or bust every season. It may or may not be realistic right away with the Musketeers but I have no doubt that my successfull methods from San Francisco will apply well over here"

Darkiller said he plans to implement the West Coast Offense as its base offense for the Paris Musketeers.

Would it be offensive to make a french joke concerning the team name of the Paris team and to suggest a new logo?

Dola.

I have yet to decide on wether I'll go with the "regular" Home uniforms, or the "alternate" home ones...
I can't decide now, need some reflection ;-)

alternate unis are to be worn once a year and are primarily used to boost fan interest and mechandise sales.

In the true spirit of alternate uniforms though, I would think they'd have to be a shiny gold color to get the full, sickening effect.
