Question From the game's release...to playing our multiplayer league

I can't imagine the game being released, and our league starting that very same day ...
So how long will we give ourselves before beginning the league for good ?

Some members, Solecismic (he's apart of course but, hey, he's a competitor in this league!) and Quikand (Beta diaries) already have a good to great knowledge of FOF 2004 so it's obvious that we will need a short period of time for making up as far as "understanding how everything works" and be competitive.
I don't know for you but for me, well that's the purpose of multiplayer FOF: see where I stack up against the others :-) I'm here to win, not "study" (for that I do my own researches in a solo career).

I would say one week (the least to me) seems pretty good to have a pretty good overview.
What do you guys think ?

I'm terribly sorry, hadn't seen the thread "#7 - when to start".
