The Afoci for Canadian U-20!
Back by popular demand, I will be throwing my proverbial hat in the ring. I would never throw my real hat because I know like most Canadians that most of your heat goes out the top of your head and you don’t want to catch a cold. What good would you be then? None. That is why I would be a great U-20 coach. I have looked at quite a few young Canadian soccer players and not one I have seen had a hat on! Not one! This will be my first action, providing proper outdoor clothing for every player.
Now some of you may ask, ‘Why would you run again, you got no votes for the National Election?’ Well since I have no answer to that, I would just pretend I didn’t hear you and move on. My Campaign Manager is LeverB66 is back and better than ever. He now has a real life Canadian on his squad. Not only that he is playing Comitox in a friendly this week and he was in the All Canadian Series when BoB scheduled the friendly, but left shortly after. I will post more later, BoB says it is good to leave the people wanting more! Stop by the Canadian Conference to show your support or start up scandals!

I didn't know each state had a U-20 team. Maybe I'll run for the Virginia one.

We went with that angle during the National Campaign. Hopefully it works better this time. Thanks!

Yeesh- some Canadian is getting really uppity over in the forums about this and Buggle probaly would have killed the U-20 thread but, oops, he's no longer a mod. It's all good fun in the Canadian forums, if anyone wants to look.

He didn't lock The Afoci's last election thread, and the new Mod has deleted quite a few posts from the current thread.

Can't speak for everybody in Canada. You've seen me around here for some time now. Am I so sensitive? Maybe, but I just tend to ignore what could pinch me. A guy like Clayden isn't like that, and you have to understand what these guys have just been through in that "game" they take so seriously...
I've always thought The Afoci's campaign was a big joke, I guess the little "almost serious" tone he gives it sometimes may be seen as offensive by some people. I mean if he'd really want to run a small country, why don't he try out in one of the newer countries. He knows he doesn't stand a chance in Canada. Had he tried to get elected in a regular election instead of the special election we had (due to the national coache being locked out I remind you), maybe he would have been seen as funny and everything. The timing wasn't very good... FM

FM, I understand what your saying, but I disagree. It was a time of seriousness and I figured that perhaps a humorous campaign had a chance. I am not looking for a small country to run, I want to be Canadas coach. I won't get elected, but I am not doing anything wrong. I don't mean this directly to you FM, but for those who don't like the thread, it is one of about 100000000 threads in all the conferences, don't open it.
I hope Buggle likes my comments I left him this morning. Jackass.

Frogman, I have question. Is it offensive that I run in Canada or that I run a campaign based on humor? Would I have been more accepted by copying and pasting DK's campaign speech or whoever he and every other serious guy runs with? Just wondering.

I just read your latest message to Buggle and let me say this one makes much more sense. I have not followed your whole thread because the first few messages I read were all the same peanut butter, laser blasters joke we read around here.
At first I didn't get that you sort of were serious about doing this the right way. Maybe I missed the one message were you first said you were serious but didn't want to do it the way others were doing it. I don't know. In answer to your question, I didn't say it was offensive, don't really think it is. Misplaced would probably be my word and it may not be good. "In Canada" or "with humor", it may be the combination of both that people didn't like, as if they felt that somebody "from the outside" couldn't come on their home field and have fun at their expense (or so they felt). I'm just trying to think why they cared about it so much. As I said, I skimmed through, reading about one post every 5 or so... I don't pay much attention to the HT conference, first, and I couldn't care less about the politicalness of national teams. In that sense, I agree with your message. I'm in that game for my own little fun, managing my own little team... FM

I think you made a pretty convincing case- *checks "agree with The Afoci once a year" on to do list*. It hadn't even occurred to me (but it's quite obvious in retrospect) that while they are complaining about your campaign, if you had gone into others' threads and done what they are doing then you would be the one getting in much trouble. *sigh*

That is fine FM. I can see how people don't think I have a chance to win, because I don't think I do, but I have fun doing it and some people in the thread have fun as well.
So I think you are just trying to say you want to vote for me but want me to bribe you with a hug first. I understand. ![]()

Damn it, I got a warning from the MOD on my speech about Buggle. At least it was a warning. I doubt I was the only one to recieve one though or at least I hope so.
Some more of you should continue your posting in my thread, but as has been done so far, refrain from attacking any of the rabid Canadians. Just continue to have fun and forget the haters.

*ALERT*
The Afoci is a liar. Those are not crawfish he is experimenting on, they are extremely rare pygmy lobsters found only in North Dakota. That madman is trying to make that noble breed of animal extinct and he has turned his attention to Canada. He has already failed in several other experiments with animals and has picked the Woodland Carribou as his next subject. I am not sure what kind of destructive gizmo he plans on stapping to them, but I am sure it will be the cause of their demise. The only way to put an end to his animal torture is to allow him to get a position of power in your country (U-20 coach for example) and catch him in the act. Please do your part in helping catch a truely evil man. |

One of these elections is going to see The Afoci elected in Canada after he spends several failed attempts trying. Then they will realize what a horrible mistake they made. It will be worse than slashers.

Yeah, Buggle's back to being his old self again. Then again, he and Chris are double teaming Homarid. I don't know half the politics that go on with hattrick but Homarid seems to get nailed an awful lot and doesn't seem to be justifiably so. Maybe I'm just missing something (and if someone wants to PM me instead of airing dirty laundry in the forums feel free, or just send me a PM that says "none of your damn business" and I'll certainly accept that).

I got a 10 ht-mail rant from Buggle stating how much he hates me. It was suppose to be evidence of my spamming of the Canadian conference through the entire National Elections, but he said that is was so obvious I was lying, he didn't want to waste any time looking for it.
I make me smile on the inside. 4 votes baby! Were moving up!
