Shooting vs Scoring?

Quick training question...

What is the difference between training Shooting opposed to scoring?

Databased states:

Shooting for scoring skill ??? trains all outfielders that actually played that week
Shooting for set-pieces skill ??? trains all players

Scoring 6-7 trains only forwards

Does shooting take longer due to the fact that it trains all outfielders and set pieces?

And are the benefits of training all outfielders worth the time, opposed to training just forwards with scoring?

the big difference is shooting trains everyone who plays (except goalie) in scoring skill, as well as set-pieces for everyone regardless of if they play.
the problem however is that shooting supposedly takes much longer to raise those skills than if they were trained seperately.

shooting takes double the time:

shooting/scoring skill: 14 weeks per level
shooting/set pieces skill: 3-4 weeks per level

give or takes 1-2 weeks. I've never trained it and never intend to but I know quite a few people that have just to see what it does, and that's the results they typically got.

Welcome to the board, Cosmic Jello.

As Panther said, it doubles the time that it takes to train. (You can also see this in the Rules page on Training.) I wouldn't say it's really worth it (even though I'm not a Scoring trainer) since it's the Scoring skill that will bring you the big money in the end.

I'd think shooting training would be most enticing to a scoring trainer, during the off-season. The opportunity to keep training all of your trainees/starters in exactly the skill that your are trying to increase, would be a nice thing.

I suppose it would depend on wether or not they had a taste for set pieces or not though. A nice scorer with a good set pieces is an attractive asset.
