Yeah, that wretched stamina may take a couple of offseasons to work on. Other than that, seems pretty good to me.

1) I'd seriously consider giving him full training in friendlies (ie, winger in league games and inner midfield in friendlies), assuming you can spare a slot for him. You spent a decent chunk of change on what looks like a pretty interesting young player. Giving him full training in playmaking will give you more bang for your bucks (as well as eventual result).

2) Unless you have a really easy serie to play in (ie, a significant number of non-owner teams) OR your starting inner midfield have hideously low stamina (passable or below), I'd seriously reconsider training 2 straight weeks of stamina. It'll wreak major havoc on your form that'll be a bitch to recover. If stamina is a major need, a possibility is to wait 2-3 weeks to recover form then train stamina a second time.

Part of it is the extra year of age, as Bee mentioned, and part of it is the wretched passing, as Frogger mentioned. Also, header specialist is one of the popular specialties. That said, I still think it's a good buy . . . Gedó will give you a lot of offense for not a lot of spending.

Yeah, I knew his secondaries were shoddy. Still, an excellent winger who's young enough to benefit a little from PM training is fine by me. What's really depressing is that he's tied for second-highest PM among my wingers.

you could play that guy as an IM toward wing if you wanted to give him full training and take advantage of the winger....

That's why I'm extremely glad I bought my 35yo Outstanding experienced Defender for 80k just before this was announced. Gets 3.5/4 stars at CD or WB-Defensive too.

daedalus, I am in French Div III.4. Last year I finished #3 (lost #2 on Goal differential). There will be no bots in my series...

Although all my starters have excellent stamina, my latest trainee (2 of them being youth pulls from my squad) have horrible stamina, so I am doing 2 weeks of stamina training anyway. Last year, I didn't suffer too much in terms of form implication. I will also train stamina during next offseason (so this winger could go from wretched to passable at best).

All my trainees are at least solid at playmaking (or near to pop to solid), so I don't want to "waste" an inner mid training spot for him => I will start a new thread listing my players asking for advice on where to train them.
