And the first team to drop out of the cup will be...

I just set my lineup for the bot Idaho Lions (or whoever they are), and it got me thinking.

There just might be a few more upsets this season in Cup play with the new tactics.

The better team PIC, maybe using a tactic, maybe not.

The home team plays normal or MOTS, uses a tactic to it's advantage, and moves on.

Obviously, home teams have won before (Central Winners come to mind), but I think we'll see it with increasing frequency this next season.

Any thoughts?

All time i am 5-3 in home cup matches my first cup i won 2 home games including one against a team 2 divisions above me. It has always been good for my team economically to push my cup run into the second or third home game and with increased match revenues this season it will be no different :P

regarding tactics, honestly, i think they are heavily over-rated. tactics are not going to give a weak team more of a chance to beat a strong team. I think what they DO is give a team a better chance of beating a team of equal strength as a whole.

i guess what im trying to say is, if you turbo charge a crappy car, it is still not going to outrace a high performance car. however, if you have two crappy cars or two high performances cars, then a small boost might make the difference.

i see tactics in this way, that they provide another dimension for teams of equal strength to consider when playing each other. when playing teams who are stronger or weaker there will still be heavy advantages/disadvantages regardless of what tricks you may have up your sleeve :P
