Irritating.

I don't know what team has been playing the last two weeks, but it's been ridiculous. Last week our offense and our defense were both one-dimensional. Total domination of the running game on both sides of the ball against Nebraska. But we let their TEs run down the field wide open all day and were saved by Lord's lack of vision and throwing ability. And on offense, our passing game was still peewee like in design.

But this week our defense stopped everything after the first quarter and our passing game looked crisp on offense. I've never seen so many passes completed to receivers on the move in any two game stretch, nevermind one game, since Davis got here.

The worst part is that in the end, I can't shake the feeling that all of this will disappear at the beginning of next season. Or if we play a team that intimidates our assistants.

Oh well.

Tell me about it Huck. I've just watched CU play three games of average defense. Not above average defense, not GREAT defense, but good - solid, keep you in the game defense against three very good offensive teams. 13 forced turnovers against OU, TT and Mizzou.

I know that won't happen to start next year if Okruh is the DC. All the young guys making plays now will suck again next year if he's allowed to destroy them.

As for your boys, they looked great tonight. After the first quarter, they were unstoppable. They can beat any team in the country when they play like they played tonight.

Hmm... the way it's shaking out, a Texas-LSU Fiesta Bowl is looking like a real possibility, which is a rematch of last year's Cotton Bowl.

Here's how I see it, Fiesta will get first pick (OU is #1, so they'll get to pick a team to replace). They'll take Texas (no question). Rose will get second pick and they'll take Washington State if they can (PAC 10-Big Ten matchup). Then the orange will have Florida State. If Pitt wins they'll play there. If Miami wins, they'll play in the Fiesta (no rematch vs. FSU). Then the SEC winner will play where the Big East winner isn't. Florida winning the SEC would screw things up a lot if Miami wins the Big East. Because Florida, Miami, and FSU have all played eachother already.

If TCU gets top 6, then they'll probably play Texas in the Fiesta, because of the region and the matchup with Texas, former conference foe.
