What injury setting are you on?

IMO 100 had way to many injuries. I'm currently quick simming though a few seasons at 73.

I've been very happy with the injury setting at 100, with only 2 players who missed substantial time (4-5 weeks) and 2 players who missed 1-2 weeks. Of course, I have a coach who is excellent at avoiding injuries.

The above information is in relation to my first season. I'm playing slowly.

I have it at 50, maybe it should be a bit more, but it was fun to have three injury-free weeks in a row. Not sure if that have ever happened in FOF before. The biggest injury was for 8 weeks. A couple of guys (5-7) around the league on IR.

Is there any consensus on what the "inflations setting" should be?

I have injuries set at 80 with my Lions...

I still had a rash of injuries that made it necessary to make significant moves each week...but then again, considering how many injuries the real Lions have, maybe it's fine!

The only annoyance has been the outbreak of the Spanish Influenza late in my first season...WHY was this included???

Interested to see what others are experiencing in regards to injuries...

100 so far appears to be significantly LOWER that in the NFL, but very few people playing the game seem to want to acknowledge that fact. I posted this a couple of weeks ago, but here we go again guys:

Yes it is.

As of right now:

Arizona--8 guys out for season. 2 others listed as "Out." 1 Doubful. 6 Probable.

Atlanta--2 guys out for season. 1 other Out. 1 Doubtful. 2 "status uncertain"

Baltimore--6 guys out for season. 1 Doubtful. 6 Probable.

Buffalo--3 Out for Season. 1 Doubtful. 2 Questionable. 2 Probable.

Carolina--5 Out For Season. 1 Other Out. 5 Questionable. 2 Probable.

Chicago--4 Out For Season. 4 Other Out. 1 Doubtful. 1 Probable.

I'm not going to go on down the list with such detail, but glancing down, I see the following that stand out.

Green Bay: 10 out for season.
Houston: 7 out for season.
New England: 9 out for season. 10 Questionable.

Football is a violent sport.
[soapbox rant]You can say, "I don't like so many injuries." or "I want an easier game" or "I don't want to micromanage injuries every week." Those are personal preferences. However, I am, frankly, sick and tired of people whining that the injury level in FOF is unrealistically high. That simply isn't true at all.[/soapbox rant]

(And I'm not saying that the original post is whining, just a general comment.)

Skydog, I agree 100% with your last post. I think injuries are less frequent then real life with the injury setting at 100. I also think Jim did a good job making 100 as a default (although some people will obviously disagree) as injuries are a factor at this setting, but not to such a point that it robs the joy out of the game IMHO.

I agree that the rate of injuries in FOF (at least FOF 4) was not unrealistic; what was unrealistic was the recovery time, since "weeks out" did not decrement except during the season.

Tried 100 in the first few years of my career. Not happy with the number of injuries (too few). So I tried 200. After a preseason with 8 players hurt (including two out for the season), I settled on 125. I'm happier now.
