Dude, no one is going to 'flame' you for asking.

No, so far Jim hasn't made any such announcement.

Definitely before the weekend. The bug list is tiny compared to past releases.

And, yes, I'll take a good look at the balance issues with passing yardage. Numbers were dead on in my testing, but there are too many reports of 12+ 4000-yard passers in a season to ignore.

Thanks Jim, this is indeed some good news. Great job, as always.

FWIW, I enjoy the game immensely right now

Although I hate the 'fanboys' over at ootp, I believe these people have an extremely good reason to thank Jim. He has released a game that is very close to bug free, and that makes a lot of upgrades over the preivious version. Thank you very very much Mr. Gindin.

wbat, my boy GE did not say "this is not the ootp boards...." for the fact that we are thanking Jim, but rather the admission that at OOTP flames come about when questions are asked, while here we are friendly people.

At the risk of being called a Fanboy Thanks Jim for looking at the passing and running issues as well as bugs. Besides the TCY import bug, and the few small bugs already mentioned, the inflated stats are the only things keeping this from being a "must play constantly game."

Don't know if Jim is still readin around here, but if so, one question:

Will we have to start a new career to get the full effect of that first patch, or will it be alright to keep on going with our current career?

I have started one career with the Pats and if you say we'll need to start over, well I will try not to get too attached to those fellas

I'm not getting too attached to my career right now because of the inflated stats. If Jim balances out the passing, I will feel like my earlier players "cheated" to gain their eye catching stats compared to the future players post patch.

Also, since kick and punt returners are not being generated properly, you're going to have to start over when a patch comes out if you want any realism in special teams.

What mystery? All I saw was the "STFU Newbie" post

Seriously...Jim's post doesn't say whether we'll have to start new careers or not.

Finally, thanks once again for producing a quality product. The only one that I've played this year that comes close is SSX3.

Yeah, I know he was reading, that's why I asked if he was *still* reading the thread... As Raiders Army said, he didn't mention anything about having to start a career or not...

I guess I'll play this one as a test and get ready to start a more serious one when the patch comes out. It's the first time I've ever had this problem, since I usually bought the other versions after a few weeks, after a patch was already out, but I couldn't wait with that one

This thread is making me realize how hard it is to read what people aer saying on the internet, with no direct communication. I probably made a mistake earlier reading GE's comment, and Kodos may have made a mistake on Raider Army's comment. Darn hard to tell exaclty what every comment is about.

Actually, Stuttgart is tied for first in their division, the toughest division in the league.

Wow, Gdansk is in sole possesion of first place despite the losing record. Impressive...

GREAT NEWS for the PATCH.
Once again, Jim proves that he is both close to his consumers, and dead on reactive.

Cool. This definitely means I'm waiting to start a career. I simmed a few years last night just to get a feel for how the game flows. Looks great, and I'm itching to start a real career, but I can be patient.

Unfortunately, I'm going away for Thanksgiving. I REALLY need to get a laptop...

I'm not going to the game, but I won't miss it. Never been to one, probably never will. I try to stay away from live football games. I hate watching games from the stands.

I'll only be in Jacksonville, though.

Live football is great, the only problem is maybe the opposing fans of other teams. Gator fan are a sorry bunch if you ask me... I know you'll be watching on T.V.
