The one thing I haven't seen that I was hoping for ....

Is a high draft pick who bombs, like Ryan Leaf.

I've seen low draft picks (even undrafted guys) turn out to be good players. I've seen mid level guys not pan out, but I've yet to see a top 10 pick just not work at all.

Anyone seen this? Is it just so rare that I have missed it?

They don't usually bomb right after the draft, I picked a stud tackle 2nd overall and though I had the next Anthony Munoz. He started as a rookie and did good, but his development stalled already in his second year and now, after three seasons, he just looks average.

Leaf didn't really bomb right off the bat. It took until the end of year 2 for people to really start asking "what the fuck?"

Ultimately, I'm sure the potential to be a starting QB was still there, but he didn't care enough.

I've had many 1st rounders not come close to panning out. 2 receivers specifically who were no better than a 4th receiver. As their red bars slowly rose, their greens rapidly decreased to meet them.

I've had 1 of about 10 first round picks meet my expectations, 3 I'd classify as "busts" and the rest were starters, but didn't meet my lofty expectations (incuding two players i traded up to select in the top 5).
