Should i sell my star?

I'm rebuilding this season, i doubt i will do anything positive on my first season on V so i'm thinking on selling my best star to buy better trainees and get out of debt.

Sergio Cuquerella
299 000 Euro, 24 years, solid form
Has poor experience and poor leadership abilities

Stamina: excellent Keeper: wretched
Playmaking: passable Passing: inadequate
Winger: weak Defending: passable
Scoring: inadequate Set Pieces: solid

I can use him IM but i have bought 6 cheap (less than 20k) <19 and pasable PM guys to train PM so i will only benefit from his stamina and form that is better than my youngers but also i lose one spot at PM training.

I can use him as D as he is the only D = pasable that i have in my team.

Or i can sell him and buy 1 or 2 pasable/solid old defenders and mybe some more pasable PM youngers and also pay part of my 200k debt.

What do you think? how much can i get from him?

I'd keep him on your team. As a passable/passable, you would probably be lucky to get 100k for him. It's good money for a new team, but I would look at him as your offensive central defender. Unless you need the money to expand your stadium, I wouldn't do it. I'd keep him and use him as a back up trainee should one of your trainees go down. That way you could sell him when he hits solid (he'll get a little training at PM each week anyhow) and buy even better defenders. Just a thought . . .

Ditto what Raven Hawk said- he's much more valuable for you than sold. I'll usually advocate taking a team apart and selling off the pieces at the start but he's a passable and that's all anyone will see despite the really high value. You won't get enough to make it worth your while unless he bumps to passable and even then, solid values are quite depressed right now.

Play him as an offensive central defender for the time being. If any of your youngsters get hurt, get him middie training for the week instead and try to get him to pop to solid so you can sell him.

Agreed here too : Plus the Solid set pieces can give you a goal on special events

I would sell him unless you feel he'll make the difference between demotion and staying in the series. I went through my team after about 4 weeks and sold off anyone with a value of about 100K or higher. This reduced salary and freed space for trainees.

Very good point- with a high value like that, I'm sure he has a bit of a salary. Something to consider that I hadn't thought of, especially if he can be easily replaced by someone making half what he is and you can get cash for him.

Thx for the answers, i'm not sure about what to do, as he is an average guy for all positions he can be used anywhere, but he won' tbe a top star at any of them, for example, for IM i can get pasables for 30k or less, for defenders the same and i think will benefit more my team to buy two solid or pasable D than to keep just him as pasable D and IM and have crap guys around him. About he making a difference, he is one of the only in my team putting 3 stars per game at D or IM, not bad but not so hight anyway. Mybe i could try to sell him for 150k or 200k and buy 2 players of his same quality for one position insted of him that is good at some postions but not so good at any of them.

I could also sell this guy as i have other two pasable forwards that are pulling the same stars than him, this one only is better than them on pass. (solid vs pasable). How much could i ask for him?
