PING- Ohito State Fans
Better luck next year, lads.
A decent game, but Michigan basically moved the ball at will. Besides a lapse of concentration during the third quarter and some of the 4th, Michigan had the game in hand. The Buckeyes were in a tough spot coming into Ann Arbor, facing a confident and talented Michigan squad. They performed admirably. The Buckeyes were cleary OVER RATED though. And it showed. Perry chewed up the so-called great defense. He was a man amongst boys. As was Edwards. Good luck in whatever bowl game (e.g., CITRUS!) you may end up in. May you do the Big 10 proud! (BITCHES!) Looks lake it will be all roses for Michigan. HAIL TO THE VICTORS VALIANT! HAIL TO THE CONQUERING HEROES! HAIL! HAIL! TO MICHIGAN! (p.s. this goes out to all of you bitter Sparties too!!) The Wolvs did give a classic wood shed ass kicking. Edwards was the shining man in my opionion.
If we didn't allow you guys to jump on us 21-0 early we would have had a shot. It was 28-21 for christs sake.. Oh well.. like the many cubs fans say.. There's always next year. |

If only Stenovich hadn't held it would have been even bigger. By the way... I love the way Ohio State players tackle, (see Avant, McGahee, even Chris Perry) Teams need to watch the way they tackle and emulate it when playing the Buck-stops-in-Ann Arbor-eyes...

Is this taking the place of the official weekly "OSU IS UNDERRATED" whine-fest?

Where are you guys? I "ping" Ohio State fans and I get one? Come on, lads! This board is crawling with Buckeyes (the "under rated" threads are evidence enough of that).
For shame. Really, for shame. Well, I guess it's what you'd expect... Hey, my hate for Ohio State has ended for the year. I now hope they go to a good bowl game and do the Big Ten proud!! HAIL TO THE VICTORS!!! HAIL TO YOUR 2003 BIG TEN CHAMIONS!!!

Come on now. We kicked their asses soundly enough that we don't need to make any more of it than what actually happened in the game. Yes, that was a big play in the game, but let's be honest - had he not held, Navarre would not have gotten that pass off. Period. The fact that Michigan let it get to them is the only reason OSU was able to mount the small comeback they did. And in the end, it didn't really matter, because the clearly dominate team won by a 2 TD margin.

As an Ohio State fan, I can swallow this defeat for 2 reasons.
1. Michigan is clearly the better team. 2. OSU was playing for a shot at the National Championship Game. Michigan winds up in just another BCS bowl - the Rose Bowl, yes, but not even a true Rose Bowl since the Pac 10 champ likely won't be there.

i know this might sound crazy, but if lsu loses to arkansas( a very real possibility) and usc chokes against oregen state, michigan could make it to the championship game.
and that would be nice. ![]() |

But if LSU beats Arkansas, wins the SEC Championship and doesn't play Georgia, LSU will possibly goto the Sugar.

I can't imagine any of these teams giving OU a hard time. It can happen, of course, but I just see myself looking for reruns of Unsolved Mysteries midway through the 2nd quarter.

I always watch for the updates from Unsolved Mysteries, even if they are from 10 years ago.

I think any one of the top 8 teams in the country could give OU a hard time. OU does appear to have the best team in the country, but I don't buy the belief that they are so dominant that no one can compete with them. Both USC and LSU appear to have defenses that just as good as OU's. USC has an explosive offensive, and LSU, except for the Florida game, has found a way to put enough points on the board to win and has looked explosive at times, thoughs streaky. I would likewise give OSU, Michigan, Miami, Georgia and a few other teams a shot against OU. They can beaten in one game, winner take all. The best team on paper doesn't always win the game. |

Shouldn't they call them Solved Mysteries now? Isn't it Lifetime that runs the repeats from 15 years ago? I guess one good thing about it is you don't have to wait for the special "update" 3 months down the road to find out the answer.

So you come on here ragging on the Bucks and their fans and wonder why we don't respond. Now we're "poor losers" for not responding to your backhanded insults? I already posted to the original game thread giving congrats to UM. It was their day, I accept that, end of story. I have no problem accepting a defeat from a clearly deserving team, nor do I have any problem rooting for them to beat up Texas or LSU in the Rose Bowl. However, please forgive for not bowing down to kiss anyone's butt further. I went to school in Columbus, I am a Buckeye through and through and no one is going to make me change allegiance to my team nor have me start singing Hail to the Victors anytime soon. I guess I really don't follow what the hell you are looking for. You guys won, good for you. Have a great bowl game and grab your jocks to get ready when you come down to the 'Shoe next year. Aside from that, we owe you no explanations, excuses, or apologies.

Just a little "How do you do?" would've been fine. Maybe some analysis of the team? A congrats and good luck? That's all. Like I said before, good luck to you all in wherever bowl game you end up in. I'll be rooting for The Big Ten all the way. You sure you wont sing "Hail to the Victors"? It's really quite catchy... |

And they still haven't won an outright title since '48. Oh, and how's that whole basketball probation going?

For which OSU will rightfully receive little to no punishment as there is no proof of institutional sanctioning of any wrongdoing.
