OT- Waiting For Guffman. - Wow, what a flick.

I have always been a Spinal Tap Fan. I caught Best In Show. Finally I got Netflix.

One of my first choices was Waiting For Guffman. A Mighty Wind will be here saturday. !!!!!!!!!

I watched W4G expecting the best.

It was ok. I liked it but I wasn't really impressed. Still...

I couldn't get some parts out of my mind.

I watched the commentary track and found myself reacting to and paying more attention to the movie than what Guest and Levy were talking about. They were doing a good job, don't get me wrong but the movie was doing a better one. A movie I wasn't particularly impressed with.

The extra scenes are better than some of the scenes that replaced them. This was cool.

I can understand why they made the choices they made but watching the extras convinced me that the filmmakers and participantsare more in tuned with what I want than with what sells but they have to put out what sells. The DVD can satisfy the rest of us. This DVD satisfied.

OK, I've watched it some more. It keeps growing on me. I'm going to order my own copy of the DVD.

I still think Spinal Tap was more over the top funny and I think Best In Show was a more polished and effective movie. I don't own either of those DVD's yet though nor have I ordered them. I have both of them on my wishlist; I'll be getting Guffman in my mailbox within the next few weeks.

This is my mediocre and humble review.

Working, making. Some for selling, some for keeping

Parker Posey's audition in the deleted scenes is not to be missed. What a twisted individual. And cute.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She's my precious, mine!!!!

She is a work of art and has always been.

The scene is the best. It made me fall for her. She's always been cute but her twisted compliments mine so well.

I guess I have my new darkhorse actress to back.

But I thought computers were incapable of human emotion?

Oh, and hands off Parker, she's all mine. Or at least she would be if we ever actually were to meet.

Parker and my girlfriend are both part of the illustrious history of the Purchase College Film Program. I guess that's as close as I'll get. Uh, I mean, I'm very happy. Very happy.

I saw A Mighty Wind last week. I liked it, but I didn't think it was as good as Best In Show (maybe because I like dogs more than folk music. ). But it was still funny.

Waiting for Guffman is on my queue.

Best in Show is my favorite of the bunch, but you can't go wrong with any of them. I, too, dig Parker Posey.

If Parker Posey was shaped less like a prepubescent boy, she'd be the hottest woman ever.
