What, no 50 TD seasons? May want to bump up that redzone throwing percentage a bit

Horned,
I'd be interested in seeing what your game-plan is for this team - that is one mighty passing attack! |

Looking at the almanac, no one is even remotely close. Leftwich ended up with 295 TD's and 45764 yards. My QB Vinny "Comeback" Novak has the highest winning pct at 155-50-0 in league history but he just passed 40000 yards and was 2nd in 4th quarter comebacks with 34.
Is it too early to induct Carr to the all-century team or is he the all-century team?

I'll have to post the screenshot when I get home, but I had a QB with stats fairly close to that. If I'm remembering correctly James "Easy Rider" Deane threw for just under 70,000 yards in one of my games.

I don't see 48 TD's in a year among those stats, so at leat *one* record still belongs to The Greatest Quarterback Who Ever Lived, Dan Marino

As promised heres a couple of shots of James Deane. Apparantly he wasnt as high as I thought yardage wise, but he's close in TD's and played 2 less seasons than Carr.

Personally, not to accuse somebody of anything, but I tend to think that a computer controlled AI player is more impressive than the "player" controller player, due to the fact that you can just reload a bad game, if your guy gets injured, reload, etc...
That being said, regardless both Carr and Deane are pretty fricking impressive. |

I understand what you're saying, but just for the record, I'm not that much of a dork that I would reload after a bad game or injury. |

Dola
Also, my QB just had a season where he tossed 45 TDs to 7 INTs, with 4785 yards and a 116.8 rating. If these type of numbers continue for him (which I doubt since his two ratings prior to that were 97 and 88, so he seems inconsistent), he'll certainly have to be posted here. |

This is probably the most untouchable record in football. Every year someone will have the media talking about breaking the single season rushing record, but only Kurt Warner has ever made a serious run at the 48 TD's. I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't broken in my lifetime. |

I would have to disagree with you. Though a mighty feat, 48 touchdowns in a year is right under the single season scoring mark of 176 points set by Paul Hornung. I think that record won't be broke for a long time. 43 years and counting. I think Gary Anderson and maybe Mark Mosely have come the closest and both of those guys we from teams who lead the league in points scored (potent offences...Vikes in 98 and Skins in 83?). It will probably be a kicker who breaks the record, from a team that can't get into the end zone all year...hehe

I'm glad I didn't have to design a gameplan to defend Mr. Dean in 1976. Yikes.
