This guy must think i'm a moron

My star QB has had a QB rating of over 100 for the last 4 years and has thrown for over 4200 yards each of those seasons as well. We've been building around him on offense and I see that at the end of the season his contract will be up so I decided to see if I could give him an extension. He wants a 6 year 174.56 million dollar contract with a 42.73 million dollar cap hit in year 6. My initial reaction was how do I field a team with that kind of money going to him, this year his cap hit is 5.5 million. He is currently in his 5th NFL season and this is the last year of his rookie contract. The highest paid player in my league at this time is 13.04 million, and the highest paid QB is 12.44 million. This guy must take me for some kind of moron. What would you guys do, without him my offense becomes worthless, i'm setup for big passes. My best RB is a 39/39, got a worthless FB, and 2 big play WR's 74/74 and 79/79 my TE is 74/74. I've built my O-Line around Pass-Blocking giving little care about run blocking. And my QB is 92/92 and my scout is Excellent at scouting QB's.

I'm starting to wonder if the slary demands of certain positions (namely the QB) go up too fast. Seems like they are always asking for outrageous money only to not get signed and have to take shitty contracts for another team.

Franchise him until you can sign or draft a replacement. Then trade him for a few #1's... TO A TEAM WITH NO TALENT!!!

Change his position to strong safety.

Then franchise him.

Then re-negotiate to a minimum deal.

Then trade him to a no-talent team.

If you franchise him over and over again, his loyalty will go down and he will never sign a long term deal with you again.

Are you serious? Loyalty can rise and fall in FOF? I thought it was concrete.

I'm sorry, but calling someone a "moron" (even yourself) could be construed as being offensive to mentally challenegd people. Please change your topic to something else so the PC crowd doesn't come after you.
