it should have gone to me...i scored 49 goals in 11 games for my highschool team, along with 4 assists and drew 4 red cards for opposing players

Well when you have the top five or so players in the world on your squad, that makes it pretty easy

My best friend is the other striker in our 3-5-2 formation...he has some solid skills, but just cant shoot too well...can pass superbly, dribble well, and even throw in some nice headers...but he sets me up all day long...i pass to him we lose(we do anyway sometimes...we have no keeper(both injured), so we always end up in shootouts

They are not bad...actually One team held me to one goal with their all-state CD marking me and their all-state keeper in the pipes...Otherwise, i think i just have a knack for finishing and accuracy. We actually have a very defensive region, but i think that since they know we dont have a keeper they like to attack...recently they have been using 5-6 defenders to stop me, but so far so good...got about 5 games to go

I vote for a salary cap in soccer. The team with the most money win every time.

The real didn't won the CL last season.

Anyway a salary cap is only possible in a closed league (franchise style) that's not the case of european soccer (plus many different countries and many different legislations)

You are absolutly right. It will be imposible to use.

Its just not that fun anymore when you see a team like Chealse (and others) buy their way to the top.

Really? Awesome! Henry deserves to win some kinda award.

I didn't think Ronaldo deserved to have won it last year based on just the WC performance.

daed : that's just my gut feeling for Henry !

As for Ronaldo, usually the year of the WC, the most valuable player for the winning team wins this award.

Look for next year to be the same as it is a Euro Cup year !

Well, with Zidane playing in Madrid, my choice between Barça and Real is now clearer. However, Athetic was never an option

When he says Atleti, he means Atletico Madrid not Athletic Bilbao, be careful.

Yep, BreizhManu got it.

We don't have french players here in Atletico (Alf, please note there's no "h"). I recall Athletic (Alf, there's an "h" here) de Bilbao had Bixente Lizarazu for a year or so.

Great knowledge of Spanish football for both of you !! Surely much better than my French knowledge

Kokoshin : My family name is PEÑARROYA ! How do you me not to know a thing about spanish football ! My father and my uncles all played in Bordeaux Club called : La jeunesse espagnole in their 20s (early 1960s !)

And Bilbao will always be related to 1982 World Cup game vs England as I remember my father and a few friends went down ther by bus (to se us losing). Plus the Lizarazu thing (he played in Bordeaux too !)

When I went to Madrid, I got to see a match, and Atletico was the only one of the two teams in town (plus they were probably cheaper). So I went to see them, and became a fan. They lost to Valencia, which I think is their only home loss so far. I don't know a whole lot about Spanish football, but what I have learned so far has been interesting.

I really don't like the Atletico, but if you wanted to see the cheapest club of Madrid you should have gone to a Rayo Vallecano game (Only problem after that would be to find a way to escape Vallecas alive).
