Thumbs down The Nightmare Before Christmas

No, I'm not talking about Tim Burton's movie. I'm talking about what would be the worst possible nightmare a simmer could have other than an irrecoverable crash?

I dropped my soda in my keyboard this morning. I knew it was toast, although only a few keys didn't work after it dried, notably the space, enter and "1", "3" and "4" keys. Although this might not be a big deal when playing Madden, since I just bought TPF, it would seriously handicap my enjoyment of the game. So I had to brave the crowds at Comp USA and Best Buy to buy a new keyboard today. Ugh.

On a side note, I haven't install TPF yet, I'm waiting until tomorrow...I figure I have that much self control at least.

An old co-worker of mine spilled his coffee on his keyboard. For the hell of it, he took it into his shower, hosed it down, let it dry (I think that took a few days) and it worked good as new...and apparently as clean as new to boot.

Of course, he had a spare keyboard in the meantime.

Try spending 5 hours chatting in a chat room using cut and paste because your keyboard doesn't work.

Yes, I know i'm a very sad man.

Do you know of one that works? I (and some friends) have tried several different brands and not been thrilled with the performance.

Most older keyboards...you can douse the sucker with water, let it sit out to dry for a few hours, and it'll be just fine.
