Best PS2 Multiplayer Shoot'Em Up
Since I received the multi-tap for Chritmas, I was thinking about getting one of these to play with my friends. I don't own anything other than sports games for the PS2, so I don't know too much about where the genre has gone recently. The one we still play the most is Bond (I didn't like Halo the few times I've played it, it went too fast but there could just be an adjustment period). Does anyone know if or have opinions on the multiplayer of games like Medal of Honor, etc.?

I'm going on vacation for a week, so I won't be picking anything up or even looking at this thread for at least a week (unless I get on again just before I leave), so thanks in advance for any other responses. I don't have the network adapter (I'd just sit around and play NCAA Football 2004 over it all day at college) so I'm just looking for something to play 'hotseat', if that makes sense. Does SOCOM II, or any other suggested game, have a mode, like Bond does, where you can go against your friends, rather than just together as a team? Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Timesplitters 2 is by far the best multiplayer (non-online) shooter on the PS2, and you can get it pretty cheap these days. It's a fast-moving, fun game. I highly recommend it.
