Congrats to the Vikes

For stinking up the metro area for the next year.

Slackers...all of em.

Note for Tice: You should spend the next few months watching film of all of these losing record teams that have beat you. You will learn some great coaching lessons from all of them, like teaching your team not to give up. Going for the field goal instead of the 6 on 4th down.

Awww, I was hoping that this would be a Mets-Red Sox type of thing, like when they congratulated the Red Sox on winning the 1986 World Series right before Buckner's error. I was so hoping to see a real congratulations to the Vikings. Oh well!

Easy easy Hurst... We're still rebuilding. We need another year of defensive drafting. That was obvious the whole time. We should have won this one, but I don't know that we'd have gone much further...

As i sit here, thinking about the season that was, i think about all the missed opportunities this team, MY team, had. A loss at Chicago. 2 terrible performances out west in very winnable games. Blowing a 6-0 start to the season. I'm trying to think about who to blame or where to point. Could the Vikings just be the Chicago Cubs or the Boston Red Sox of the NFL? Is it because they play in a shithole of a stadium? Is it the local media, with all of it's negativity? Is it the coaches? The players?

I don't like Randy Moss. I think Daunte is one of the most overrated QB's in NFL history. Chris Hovan is a joke. Mike Tice has to be one of the worst decision makers in the game. Now O'Leary is leaving. The owner doesn't want to stick another dime into this operation.

Bottom line........There is no hope Viking fans. They have broken my heart for the last time. I will cheer for them if the ever make it to the big game in my life time, but today was my final ride with this club.

Good luck to the Packers. It would be a story book ending if Favre could win one more for his dad. I'm hopping onto the Chiefs bandwagon, as that team has found a place in my heart the last few years with Dick Vermiel at the helm (A REAL coach). Doesn't hurt that Priest single handedly won my fantasy football league for me.

That's all i got.

This is like cheering for Saddam in the war in Iraq... You should be deported for damning the Vikes and praising the Pack in the same post. Shame on you...

You can't deport me, i live in WI. =P

I would never cheer for Saddam, and I won't be cheering for the Packers either. I didn't see in my post where i praised them. I just said it would be a storybook ending.

It hurts to be a Cardinal fan. I think we are already mathematically eliminated from the next 3 years of playoffs.

As a long time Saints fan, I understand very well the sentiments expressed in this thread.

I feel you.

We are all brothers. Each year, our hearts are smashed into a thousand tortured fragments, and each year we sweep them up and glue them back together piece by piece.

Oh we swear, every time, that we have *had it!* THIS IS THE LAST STRAW!! But then comes free agency, and wouldn't you know it, the Vikes have their eye on.. and oh lookie what the Cards might just do.. Surely this guy can solve all our problems?

Almost always a tease, and when it's not, we always get Superman AFTER the dose of kryptonite.

Then comes the draft, and that's when the hook is set.

These new players HAVEN'T FUCKED UP YET!! THESE GUYS COULD BE GOOD! Oh yeah, rev up the bandwagon because this year, THIS YEAR, things are gonna be different!

Alas, as any Cardinal fan can tell you, these guys *are* good.. when they finally find their way to another team.

It's a curse.

Don't think, ye Bengals fans, ye have escaped the hoary claw. Yer names are still writ in blood upon the page..

You too San Diego. Still an honorary member, Tampa Bay. You'll pay for that trophy with another couple of decades of disgusting suckritude..

Yeah.

So pass the chips, somebody. Free agency is about to start.

Come on man, you're forgetting the Seahawks in that list, sure we made the playoffs this year and the future (as it does every year) looks bright, but it's still the Seahawks at heart.

Lots of room left on the bandwagon too.

If you really want to get rid of that Moss guy, I am sure the Dolphins would take him off your hands for ya!
