Well, give some credit where credit was due as well, the Lions played their best game of the year. The defensive line put pressure on Bulger all game and kept the Rams from getting the ball deep, as well as totally bottling up Marshall Faulk. Harrington also played what was his best game as a Lion, and the shitty receiving corps actually managed to get open and step up and make the plays they haven't made all year.
That being said, the Rams are toast once they have to leave St. Louis. |

I'll give credit where credit was due, but we should have beaten the Lions, point blank.

If you play that game the Rams win it 95 out of 100 times. I think it was just a situation of everything going wrong for the Rams and everything going right for the Lions. That and the Rams might have taken this for granted. |

The worst seed it can be is Seattle...if it were Dallas against Kurt Warner, I'd be worried. But now...Seattle, Carolina, or GB? Gotta like the Rams chances, no matter how much I hate them.

Yay for the Lions!
Fun game to watch. Nice to see the poor Lions go out on a high note. Solid defensive performance in the second half. As dominating a Lions defense as I have ever seen. Joey looked sharp too.

I will first I admit to not seeing the game. Now, when I saw the Rams had lost, my first reaction was to check how many yards Marshal Faulk had rushing. 12 carries for 35 yards?! I thought Martz had this figure out now. The Rams are a better ballclub if Faulk is carrying the ball 20-25 times a game and is thrown the ball 8-12 times a game.

I can't see how people are thinking the Rams will be fine after this. They likely cost themselves the Super Bowl yesterday. I think that nobody had much chance to beat them at home in the playoffs, including Philly. By the same token however, I would give the Rams almost no chance to win in Philly.

All I can think of is Martz had a brain fart when designing this gameplan vs Detroit. Although, he doesn't block for Bulger or throw to the recievers. The playoffs ought to be interesting! Todd |

Well the Rams O wasn't the problem. The DEFENSE decided to make Joey Harrington look like the second coming of Joe Montana for a quarter.

Well, it may not get that far. I'll go out on a limb and say that if the Rams have home field throughout (Philly loses 1st game), they will be in Houston for the big party. And honestly, i would bet $5 on the Rams beating Philly in Philly. |

I should bet you again. ![]() Quote:
Maybe I should have said, brain fart, because the fumble resulted in a TD from a missed block by the OL line. Granted, the defense didn't look spectacular, but our defense has never been great when the offense is stagnant. Todd |

As an Eagle fan, I have to say this, nobody in their right mind thought Tampa would beat Philly at home either. This is what makes the playoffs exciting, plus, teams sometimes get too lax, the Eagles are without their offensive and defensive MVPs (though Westbrook may be back). I'm excited for my team, I'm glad their in it, and I think they will do well, that being said, anything can happen. |
