FOFC Golf Tour - Results

Figured it would best to have a seperate thread of results only. That way we wouldn't have to search through all the tourney pages.

Thanks. The biggest pain is transferring the info from an excel sheet to the forum.

What no money update?

I actually wanted to let everyone know, my responsibilities at work have expanded (read they rolled a second position into my job description - without a raise of course). Because this was dropped on my lap Tuesday, I am behind - actually I was behind before it was ever given to me. I should be caught up soon, and will start compiling the information for TPC Sawgrass. Be on the lookout for the new thread.

I promise the tour isn't coming to a screaching halt.

Anybody up for tallying these up? My databasing skills aren't as mediocre as I'd hoped they'd be.

I don't believe that Wayne should get any money because he had to WD. Anybody want to confirm or deny this?

Yea' - I thought about it and just played it safe. Each of the bottom 4 would get 14k/4 if = 7k/2= 3.5k if he gets bumped.

Official Ruling:

A player must complete a tournament in order to receive any prize money.

Note: A player actually finished a round on Sunday after fracturing his ankle because he knew he would be out of action for a considerable amount of time and he would need the money. I believe his final round score was in the mid 90s

Hey RPI - when you get a chance - do your thing.

I'm going to be interested to see who's the early leader in $ and prestige points.

I'm guessing it's Almighty or Mayes.

FOFC In Financial Difficulties???

Numerous FOFC Golfers have expressed concern about the fact their actually winner's checks haven't been distributed in a timely mannor.

"I have the big cardboard check from the TPC," said Jeff Nights. "I got tired of waiting for my real check so I tried to cash that one. It didn't fit in the little pneumatic tube at the drive through, and when I took inside, the bank tellers just laughed at me."

So where is the money?

FOFC tour commissioner Breeze said, "I won't cum....wait that's the wrong one...Ah...the check is in the mail - yeah that's it."

The tour is brand new, and many finianciers have expressed concern that the sponsors aren't covering expenses as expected, and tour revenues are way below projected figures. If this is the case...is the tour in jeapordy?

"No, no, no... we're fine," expressed Breeze. "We're moving along nicely, and are excited about having our first ever major this week."

"Rumlings have indicated that some of the tour players are contimplating skiping the Masters if their checks aren't cleared."

Fad Braxton stated, "If I don't get my check this week, I may not be able to afford to play at Augusta. I went a long time paying out of my pocket for stops, and I owe people money. Plus Destiny put a real dent in what was left of my checking account...'mumbling' - and credit card limits."

Another rumor out of the FOFC is that the tour accountant has been a little preoccupied.

"I heard the accountant is studying statistics," stated Kyle Smith. "That concerns me. I mean everyone knows you can use statistics to support any arguement and you can make numbers say whatever you want them to say. I hope the accountant isn't using this stats study as a way to come up with creative book cooking."

So where does this leave the FOFC Tour? Officials declined comment, but off the record it was reported that the money should be updated soon.

FOFC Point System Turned Upside-Down

At a surprise news conference on Tuesday night, the FOFC Golf Tour has announced that its sponsorship from RPI Inc. has suddenly ended. All winnings have been repossessed by the bank and the future of the Tour looked bleak. Commissioner Breeze had his cell phone ringing off the hook, but he was nowhere to be found...one only wonders if he was with Destiny. Finally, Breeze turned on the TV and saw the terrible news. He made one quick phone call to the West Coast and soon found a new sponsor for the tour. This new sponsor was willing to re-issue the winnings that was earned in the 1st 2 events and also distribute the winnings for the rest of the season. However, the new sponsor would only agree if a few things were changed. "There were certain loopholes in affect with the past system and we have fixed them to make the rest of the season extremely consitent. We also want to show to the loyal followers of the Tour that this is a high class organization putting its stamp in the great country that is the dynasty forum."

The following are the new prestige points and winnings awarded for each of the first 4 events:
note...some results may have changed from the 1st 2 events to ensure that the rest of the year will be on the same scale

Nights shows how one well-timed tournament can boost you way up the rankings. The 1st major will surely shake things up even more with $1,000,000 at stake along with 120 prestige points.

Hey King,

Thanks for stepping up (nice write up too). Looks great. 1 quick question - I see Crappy made a cut but has no money. I thought everyone that made a cut got some monetary compensation.

Don't have time right now, but I'll look at it later. Also, do you think points should be rewarded for more than just the top 6 finishers? Or do you like how the money is rewarded to a lot of people, but the prestige points are tougher to get?

King,

Take your time, just something I noticed. I actually like the way the prestige points and money are distributed, but I'm open to others opinions on the matter. Any other FOFC tour members that want to chime in - fell free.

Well, I'm using the same money list that RPI was and only the top 11 including ties win money. There are others that have made the cut and were not tied for 11th or better and did not win money. I can change it so that everybody who makes the cut wins some cash by changing the %share of the winnings each golfer receives.

Everybody is supposed to be in the money. I think what I had been doing was taking the 11th place and splitting it among 11th and lower.
