Salary Renegotiations

Do computer teams ever renegotiate with their players before the contract runs up?

Reason I ask is am I going against the game by renegotiating with a player in the last year of his contract during the season, when all the other teams' players in the last year of their contract will be heading towards free agency.

I know in FOF2k1/2 they did, I haven't paid enough attention to whether they do in FOF2k4 but I imagine they do.

Yes, I've seen the computer renegotiate contracts several times during the off season. Although I think its mainly for salary cap reasons not to extend a contact.

So, I am approaching the end of my first season, I should expect to see all those players who are in the last year of their contract in the Free Agent pool?

Probably see the majority of them in the FA list, and there former teams will bid... I don't think you will see them ALL though.
