All-Pro / Pro-Bowl rosters

Peyton Manning and Steve Mc Nair share the NFL MVP award with 16 votes each BUT Manning is the almost unanimous All-Pro QB (46 votes against 18 to McNair).

Lavar Arrington is the NFC's starting LB in the Pro Bowl while Julian Peterson is not...but Peterson makes the All-Pro squad (1st team) while Arrington doesn't...

Last year, McNabb finished 2nd in the NFL MVP voting, but he wasn't even among the 3 NFC Quarterbacks on the Pro-Bowl roster...

and on and on...

I find these oddities both fun and very interesting.
That brings me back to a thread we had some time ago about having Pro Bowl rosters in FOF.

Most people felt that it was useless with the common reply being "Pro Bowl is a waste of time, and we already have the All-League awards".

That is why it would be FUN to have Pro Bowl rosters in the game as well: because selectons CAN be different from All-League stuff...and MVP stuff..that could lead to debates as to why did the "fans" picked this guy, player A, while the profession elected player B to the All-League 1st team...

much like we have, in TCY : the fan vote, the coaches vote...and rankings differ from one another.

Just a thought that crossed my mind after reading the All-Pro rosters today, to fuel my desire of seeing Pro-Bowl rosters in FOF.

Not that it matters, but why isn't Julian Peterson starting in the pro bowl? I know I'm a homer, but I think many other people would agree that Peterson should start over Arrington. Arrington is just starting because he's a more reconizable name. Look at the numbers:
Arrington: 88 Tackles, 6 sacks, 0 interceptions and 6 forced fumbles compared to Peterson: 94 Tackles, 7 sacks, 2 interceptions and 3 forced fumbles. Arrington had one more turnover than Peterson, Peterson had 6 more tackles and 1 more sack than Arrington, real close call.

well, Pro Bowl and MVP are two different things. The MVP is not necessarily given to the best player - it's given to the guy who was most important to his team's success. McNair and McNabb were both critical to their teams, but did so without putting up the enormous numbers you would want to see from a ProBowler/All-Pro.

What I don't understand is how Fred Beasley got more votes (4) than Ahman Green (3). I know Beasley's a fullback and that probably pulled a vote or two, but come on...
