Introducing "The Producers" -- The Movie!
Can someone get a hold of Mel Brooks and explain what's wrong with this?
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...roducers_movie So they are basing a movie off the musical which is based on the movie? This is like when Jimmy James on NewsRadio had his autobiography translated from English into Japanese and back into English. |

if it didn't come out in the last 5 years, it's like it never existed.

I am typically against remakes as a general rule. I mean, can't people come up with something new every once in a while?
But, this could be very funny. Nothing will ever beat Gene Wilder, but this will be a very different movie than the first one. This is a musical through and through. I'm not a big fan of the music, but the new lyrics and staging are hillarious. I'm actually looking forward to it. |

I'm still waiting for someone like the Farrelly Brothers to have the balls to actually make a real version of Springtime for Hitler.
