How stupid can I be?
Just have to vent. Was messing with a new dynasty, writing it to an MS Works document, when I got an error message from MS Works that closed it out. I lost everything up to the last save, which is 2 freaknig seasons since I had the window open all day and was doing a little at a time when I had some free time (and the headache was gone enough to handle it).
I don't know how I can get any of that back. There were some very important early career developments that took place and now it's lost. that sucks. I thought for sure there was an auto-save that would have picked up most of my changes but I learned the hard way that there wasn't. Sorry, just had to vent. |

Every time MS Word crashes on me I just reopen it and all my unsaved work is "recovered."

Problem is that this was done in Works, not Word. I had assumed they would have the same type of backup features. This was the first time I typed anything in Works.

I'd approach anything named "MS Works" with caution, as it quite clearly does not...

That sucks. I've had crap like that happen after adding very long entries. It makes you want to destroy something with lots of satisfying little pieces...
