Advice needed on two questions

A) My next match is vs the best team in my series, they are putting 32 stars while i put 28 at max. Also i play at their home so this is going to be a hard defeat.
What should i do?

1º Just keep using my 3-5-2, PIC it and take 6 goals?
2º Change to 4-4-2 and try CA? as they will have tons of chances, mybe i can score some too in the CA. (my CA will be week or inadecuate)
3º Use 3-5-2 and pressing.

B) My current forwards are:

Marcos Lopez:
Scoring: Solid
Passing: Poor

Ricardo Hernandez:
Scoring Passable
Passing: Solid

I'm thinking on upgrading my offense but only have 120k to spend, i have seen some solid scorers without second skills for 100k but i'm not sure if that is better than Ricardo Hernandez as he is solid on passing.

If a player is solid scorer, how high should be his passing skill to be better than Ricardo Hernadez?

Thx in advance

if you have good passers among your defenders : 4-4-2 with CA

else 3-5-2 and either PIC or MOTS

Just my opinions here:

1) I'm not of the "star is evil" sect but don't compare yourself to your rival with stars. That won't tell you a lot and it won't tell us a lot as far as what comments we can make. Your typical ratings (midfield, defenses, offenses) or what you expect to get versus his will be more useful for comparing, contrasting and for comments you can get.

That said, if you expect to get beaten in midfield but not too badly (within a level) and you have some defenders with passing skill, counter-attacking out of a 4-4-2 may be worthwhile. If his offense is likely to beat your defense by quite a bit, you might try pressing out of either 4-4-2 or 3-5-2.

2) If you have 120 000 US$ to spend for upgrading right now, just hang onto your money until you have more to work with. You have a pretty decent forward tandem right now, if they're in form.

As far as Hernandez goes, he'll contribute more to your central attack than your wing attacks. If you read the Rules page on how offense is resolved, you'll see that the forwards' scoring skill contributes to both central attack and wing attacks while his passing skill will only contribute to your central attack. That means Hernandez is still very useful, he just doesn't contribute to your wing attacks quite as much as Lopez even though he'll contribute more to your central attack. Other options for upgrading your offenses includes your wingers' winger skills and your wingers' and your inner midfielders' passing skills.

and for the scorer, a player with inadequate passing he should be of the same level.

for 120k you can only find players that are older than 30, and even for them is going to be hard to find someone better.

How badly do you need this game and how much does it screw the remainder of the season if you MotS?

I can't MotS, after this game i will play vs the two teams just above me, the real league is played there. If i'm thiking on doing something for this match is to avoid to receive 5 goals as probably each goal will count on my series to decide who will demote. I thinking on PICing this one, but i need to find a posible solution to pic and don't lose by a big amount of goals, that's why i thought on CA as mybe i can score some (klets say we end 5-3) or pressing to be able to lose 1-0 or so.

I'm a much bigger proponent of pressing than CA unless your passing and offense are that good. Then again, I suppose it's more a matter of whether you would rather lose 3-0 or 6-2.

6-2 would be worse than 3-0 (goal differential)...

As other people have told me, don't mess up your training plan.

6-2 is better than 3-0 because your retarded supporters think a shutout is the end of the world.

I'm also a bigger fan of pressing than counter-attacking. As sterling said, though, if you have some good passing defenders, then counter-attack is worthwhile.

My defenders best pass skill is inadecuate, so i guess i will use my default 3-5-2 with pressing and will PIC it.

Run the 3-4-3 press!

On a side note: PIC + Press = Loss

However, you will gain TS and not lose as much to the goal differential.
