Exclamation ROLL CALL *IMPORTANT*

This is the official roll call thread. There are two important questions to answer:

1. Do you still wish to be a member of the league?

2. Do you own FOF2004?

2b. If you do not own the game, when do you plan on purchasing it?

Below are the current 31 members of the league (and I say 31, because it sadly appears we have lost Fritz). After figuring out who is in and who is out, we will make a decision on if/how to fill the vacant spots.

Those who have confirmed both participation and ownership of the game are listed in bold at the top of the list.

dola, Since JT4 has been MIA for a long time, we might have 3 vacancies in fact.

Since, there are only 5-6 people not replying here so far, I think it would be fair sending them PMs.

I sent the last 8 or 9 PM's this morning. I'd say we should give anyone here until the end of the weekend to declare being in or out.

We can wait a bit longer on Solecismic obviously... and SkyDog has been busy with much more important stuff.

At the very least, we will probably need at least 3 new owners.. as I'm next to certain to won't hear from Tobias (who hasn't even logged in since november).

I'd think that SkyDog is in as well, just dealing with the crap that is real life right now. I'd say the same for Jim, because I'm not sure what would have changed his mind once he said he was in, but I'm not as sure of that.

Hey guys. As you figured, I've been very busy the last few days. I've been checking the main board only, and then pretty sporadically compared to normal. I'm in, and own the game.

The funeral is Saturday morning, and then next weekend I've got a big trip, so I'll be a bit busy from now until the 25th. Please don't hesitate to PM me, though, if a vote of some sort or other important info comes out that I haven't replied to. I suspect that I will be around the board a lot on Saturday afternoon, Sunday, and Monday, but will be sporadic during the week next week, and totally offline Friday through Sunday next weekend.

FYI, from every conversation I've had with Jim, I'd surmise that he's still in too. The commish should just e-mail him to let him know that things are about to get up and running, and to confirm that he's in.

Ok. Now we're exactly where I expected to be. I do not expect to hear from Tobias, who has pretty much disappered from these boards. He hasn't logged in since November 22nd... so it appears we will have 5 vacancies. I'll soon post the full details of the geographic constraints we'll need to place upon the new owners (to make them fit into the alignment we already have going).

Still, we're really moving now!

We're going to be forcing new owners to fit within our current geographical alignment. I don't it's that unreasonable a thing to ask, as it will save us a lot of re-shuffling.

Of the 5 vacancies, we need:
  • One Northeast team. The team could be located anywhere in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, or any of the New England States. (If they choose Penn or NJ, the new team and I will switch to the Mid-Atlantic division, and Astoria and Brooklyn would move to the Northeast division)
  • Two Mid-Atlantic teams. The new teams can be located anywhere in West Virginia, Virginia, or North Carolina.
  • One team for the "Georgia" division. This team can be located in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, or Florida. Option 2: Buzzbee has said he's willing to move into Georgia, so the new team can also be placed in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, or Mississippi.
  • One Western team. The team can be as far east as the eastern border of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, or New Mexico.

If needed, I can shift my team from Vicksburg to Georgia. In other words, if a new owner wants a team "down South" and we don't find a "replacement" for Grant Dawg, I can become one of the Georgia contingent (since I AM in Georgia.

Team would be the Vinings Vipers. If needed, of course.

Unless you WANT to move to Georgia, you can stay where you are. I don't think it's unreasonable to force the new guys into specific areas.

So lemme know if you want to move or not.

I'm happy where I am, but just wanted to let it be known that I could move if it meant a new owner wanted a team in the Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Arkansas, region. No reason to force them if there is an easy alternative.

I think its silly to force owners to locate in a specific area. What happens later when teams start moving anyway? I say just focus on getting the best possible owners and not worry about the cosmetic stuff. We want people to be as attached as possible to their franchises and for some people being able to choose their locale is very important.

how long till we find a replacement for Jim? does he even know about this forum?

i'm sorry, i know he's busy (like we're all not), but if this is the level of participation we should come to expect from him i say dev or no dev - kindly move over for someone else to play.

i have a job and wife, and i still reserve even a couple minutes to check in here everyday despite all my other distractions. not much to expect from him or anyone else.

i just don't want us to be handcuffed to any particular owner if that owner proves himself not able to put in even a minimum amount of face-time. hopefully he's just reserving his "grand entrance" till the league is officially ready.
