Where are players drafted from (FOF2k4)

I am about to start the year 2014, and there have been 11 drafts (maybe 12, I can't count). Anyway, I thought I'd post this here to see if you think the computer generated drafts do a good job of distributing players amongst the school. So here are the school by school draft numbers and the round they were taken.

THe one thing I see is that Notre Dame averages about 7 players a year, which seems a bit high. I think averaging at most 5 a year should be a good average. And I'm kind of pissed Furman has the same number as WV Tech.

What's with Texas A&M and the third round picks? That's an odd stat.

Fairfield University no longer has a football program. If you are out there Jim, you can take them off the list .

And for those who are curious. This is another new report available in version 1.7 of the FOF Reporter.

Look at it as a "why is it necessary to improve such a great tool".

No way Arizona has more picks than Arizona St. Just look at who's in the NFL now for them, but I know it's just a game. Gotta do something to put the cats down today.

I don't know that the Notre Dame number is really that far off. In the past 10 years they have averaged 5.2 players per year in the draft. Granted FOF is is a bit higher, but it doesn't seem way out of whack.

As for Arizona and Arizona St. In the past 10 years Arizona St. has only had 10 more draft picks than Arizona. Again FOF is off on this, but not by that much.

I'm not saying the Notre Dame number itself is unrealistic because it's Notre Dame, more that it just seems odd to me that a school would consistently average 7 players per draft. Maybe thats how it is, it just seems high to me (That means an entire team is drafted every 3 years.)

So Mike Price will be good, but not that good?

Yea again it may be slightly high, but for example over the past 10 years Florida St. has averaged 6.3 draft picks per year with 7 of those 10 years containing 6 or more picks. So I would say FOF is only slightly off.

Actually, UTEP is fighting U of Arizona for an All-American rinningback from Tuscon. I don't think UTEP has ever gotten a high school All-American before. So maybe Price will pay some dividends...
