Does anybody else here watch this show? I think it's much better than Survivor since they started fighting the first episode. After watching the first episode last week, and then the repeat last night, it reinforced the fact that the producers/director/whatever can edit it to make certain people look really good or like crap. For example:

Ereka got lost in NYC...being a native New Yorker. This wasn't shown on the hour show, so she didn't look as much of an idiot as she really is.

Sam actually had a good idea to use chicks to sell lemonade. This also wasn't shown on the hour show, so a bit where he actually looked smart was cut.

Tammy asked Donald Trump's girlfriend, "how do you clean this place [his apartment]". This again was cut, when obviously a chick who's going out with a billionaire doesn't clean the apartment.

The episode this week was great again. I think Sam has the best chance of winning it all, if he can gain the respect of his teammates. Going from bottom to top is pretty easy, as it is in life when people have low expectations and you perform moderately well. Omarosa is a bitch, and how the hell do you get racism from the statement "that's the pot calling the kettle black". I laughed my ass off!

Oh yeah, and Katrina is hot.

Yes I said that same thing - how could you get racism from that statement - total idiot. I was laughing as well.

I think Sam is a joke - he should have gotten the axe - the guy fell asleep and layed on the ground - thats a business man?

My theory? Sam will be around for quite awhile, just because it's good for ratings to have someone on who the viewers root against.

Trump's no idiot, he won't fire a source of dissension before he has to... on the other hand, no way Sam wins. See above (Trump's no idiot).

On the other hand, has any successful man in history had worse hair than Donald Trump?!?

Again, it's all in how they edit it. We didn't see all of it, so I'm willing to give Sam benefit of the doubt...although it did seem as if he's a baby. Jason was definitely deserving of getting cut. He interrupted Trump last week, didn't listen to his team this week, and totally backstabbed the guy who stuck up for him when he failed. To me, that's much worse than falling asleep on the job. No doz will fix that.

Not only that, but since Trump has invested in the show as the executive producer, Sam brings in ratings.

My wife and I started watching this with the 1.5 hour premeir last week. Its the first "reality" show we've watched outside of Amazing Race since the first Survivor turned us off the general theme. Sam annoys the crap out of us, and he should have been fired for sleeping on the frickin' job. Amazing. The leader did make some bonehead decisions though. Not seeing the ad client was flat out dumb. However, I think their campaign was much more "acceptable" than the women's, which was over the top by about a mile. I guess thats why I'm not in advertising. My wife kept on saying at the end of the show that Sam is going to win it all, because it looks like they are setting it up that way. I certainly hope Trump has more sense than giving that slug a job.

I think that was a move to ensure that Sam got fired, and it totally backfired in his face. I would have really like to have heard his true reasoning on it, thats for sure.

True, Jason picked him because he knew the guy had no chance of getting fired. I don't think it was a backstabbing move at all.

Also, that Omarosa (sp?) girl is an idiot. How could you think, 'that's the pot calling the kettle black,' is racist? If you've never heard that saying before you don't deserve a high powered job.

I gotta agree with Raiders Army on Trump and Sam. Given that Trump is the executive producer of the show and given the small print disclaimer at the end of the program that Trump goes over his 'firing' decisions with the other producers before making them, you have to believe Same is around for ratings more than anything else. People want to watch weasels get screwed over, but they want to get to know the weasel before it happens to make the ensuing action that much sweeter. We could probably say the same for Omarosa. She'll be around for awhile because she's good for ratings. This is business right?

My Wife and I actually got into an arguement over this show last night. I agree 100% with the women winning the first task (the Lemonaid selling), but no way should they have won the task last night. That idea was so over the top it wasn't even funny. They are selling a high class service. They had to look at their target audience , stiff businesspeople, who really aren't going to bite on a "Sexual" ad. To me, thats the worst idea I've ever seen. Why are the women degrading themselves by lowering themselves to only sell their bodies? Thats not to say that the men on this show aren't complete idiots either.

The bottom line is, I haven't seen anyone on this show yet that really knows good, technical, rational, business strategies. But its for ratings right?

Two things:
1) Like it's been said, Sam = Ratings. He even started to realise it at the end of the 2nd episode, his obnoxiousness turned up a notch and he actually started being a smart mouth in front of trump (in episode 1 he kept that behind to when Trump wasn't in view). He knows they want him on the show so he's going to go the whole mile with it. The interesting part will be when it starts getting nearer to the end if he can somehow morph into someone that might actually win the thing, not just make the final handful.

2)This is the best 'reality show' ever!!!

The only plausible explanation for Trump keeping a guy who falls asleep during an assignment is for pure entertainment and to see if he actually will crack up. That Sam guy is going to end up institutionalized. Moron, moron, moron...

It's a great show and testament to Mark Burnett's creativity...

I would have like to see a bit of the ladies tv ad but they didn't show it...

I don't think it's as good as reality shows that reward one's relative skill (Amazing Race) or put the decision in the hands of one's fellow competitors (Survivor). Trump's got his sticky fingers all over this one making the result that much more predetermined. Does he really want someone for his company? Maybe. But he's a businessman who wants to make money. He's betting the show will make more money for him if he decides who wins than the potential winner of the competition could lose running one of his businesses for a year. If Trump were running the last version of Survivor, we would have seen Rupert emerge triumphant in a last stand battle against John. If ratings is what this show's about, then it's going to come down to Sam and Onarosa. Survivor is simply a better show because the producers are not deciding who stays and who goes (or at the very least doing a heck of a lot better job at hiding this fact).

This show is hardly about business. It's all about entertainment.

I have a feeling that he has someone in mind to win. That being said, he will keep on the ratings grabbing people, and then at the end, the person he wants will win.

But isn't it more entertaining to see a program where the winner isn't predetermined. That's why Survivor is the best show on TV - it's highly unpredictable.

I don't think Trump's hair is actually his hair. Look at it. It HAS to be a rug, and not even a good one.

If I don't know what the predetermination is it's just as unpredictable to me.

I would have thought Sam would have been sent packing but nope...

I could've sworn Trump wasn't as rich as he used to be back in the day...

Didn't he lose a lot of money awhile ago? I remember hearing something about that on the news and all. Well, years ago, at the least.

He went through some difficulty but he's rolling in it. According to one interview he got well in excess of a million to do this show and is worth big bucks...

True true, I'm just very jealous. I'm interested in hearing his story. I know he was/is a real estate tycoon, but I know he had to catch a break somewhere. I don't think his parents were wealthy.

i work for NetJets (we own Marquis Jet--Team 36 if ur on the inside ) and i think the ladies had a better commercial, but the guy's print ad was exactly the kind of image we portay--"Redefining First Class"...perfect.

the print ad for the ladies was way too out there for anything we would use--of course, i'm only in the IT dept, what do i know about marketing? oh wait, i have a marketing degree i've never used...so i guess i'm supposed to know a little...hehe.

anyway...this is one of the better reality shows to come around recently---mark burnett's got another winner.

From the advertising perspective I think you want people and a spirit like the ladies. Creative if not misguided in a first attempt. You can work with them to channel that creativity into more appropriate productions. They'll hit the homerun...The men played it too tightly to the vest...

true....like the ad guy said--"when u buy advertising, ur buying people". i think an all-star lineup of the guys and girls would make a nice team.

btw, Omarosa is a moron...it bout blew me away when she started on the racist tip after that very common saying.

As far as I can tell she hasn't been happy about anything that has gone on. I wonder if she did the right thing and gave props to the others after she made such a stink about not going with the edgy campaign. We won't see it since she's obviously been chosen as a polar force on that team as far as perception goes.

What stick in the mud though. They are out partying and celebrating and she decides it's nap time...

Actually, I think the saying Omarosa took offense to actually does come from racist undertones. But you're right, it's a pretty prevalent expression, and it's a little early for her to be sceaming racist.

Obviously from the previews, the guys will pick Sam as the next project leader and hope he fails. If he does, I think Trump will have to fire him. But I think the guys will win which will be interesting to see how it affects the feelings towards Sam. Note: I think the guys will win not because of Sam's great leadership, but because Burnett will come up w/ a challenge that favors the men (to even things out ... and for entertainment).

Exactly, I don't think they'd let it get to 3-0 women. There wouldn't be enough men left to do the challanges. Omarosa might have been a little quick when calling "racist", but it does seem like the other girls have been hard on her from day #1. The rest of the girls act like this is a soriety, and Omarosa is treating this like a business. When she suggested that they pick names out of a hat to see who's going to be the next leader, they all started flipping out for no apparent reason. To me, she's the most mature one there, I hope she wins.

It's already been filmed and judging by the high profile of some of the assignments I'm assuming they are in some predefined order.

If anything perhaps the determination of a winner may tilt in one direction since some of the outcomes will be quite subjective as opposed to how much profit you made on lemonade.

If I had to guess, win or lose, Erika gets a job from Trump...

The way she has reacted at least on camera is anything but mature. She's taken a no win position to this point...

They have really only focused air-time on a handful of people so far, all of which I agree are pretty much morons (which is why they get so much face time).
