platapus speciality guide

did anyone else read the speciality guide on hottirk.org?
not bad, but i disagree that he thinks having head defenders is bad. i have a few head defenders. they score in most games i play them. 1 guy has played 3 league games for me and scored every game as a wing back. i understand that he disagrees because they can be taken advantage of by techinical players, but i think good outways the bad.

he did a good job on most of the other ideas on specialities though espcially considering what the players position and directions are. what did everyone else think?

I haven't read this, but I've been wanting to. I'll go take a look.

I think it's a matter of opinion. Ideally you'd have a selection of players to match different opponents. That's very difficult to do. Personally I prefer my defenders to have no specialities and my forwards to be Unpredictable or Head specialists.

Edit: I think their point about Head defenders is that, according to the rules, it doesn't matter who on your team has the Head speciality as long as a few do. Since having defenders as Head speciality leaves them vulnerable to Technical players, it's better to have other positions with it. Which makes sense if you think about corner kick positioning in real life.
