OT: The Apprentice Episode 3
Sam's out!!! Not necessarily a surprise, but it was surprising the women came together and outdid the men in this challenge. I thought the episode was badly edited, since it seemed as if the men weren't going to make it, but they obviously did. They lost all the drama building up to it, and then just said the men made it. Sorta weird.
I think the men are due for a comeback next episode. Hopefully Omarosa gets the boot. I'm tired of her diva attitude, and the whole comment of going from the projects to the White House was stupid. I can think of a bunch of people I know that could do that if they wanted to . The other thing is that it wasn't like she was the President. Hell, Monica Lewinsky worked in the White House. ![]() By the way, Katrina is hot. |

Sam deserved to go. Looks like another ladies win next week though based on the preview. I find myself not really liking most of the Women including Katrina (however hot she may be).

Omarosa is the next Sam I think... ride her for a few episodes for ratings. I figure after 2 more she'll be gone... I have to say that this last round made those fellas look like a bunch of morons. Maybe there are some ground rules that they haven't shown but how hard would it be for the Cigar salesman to make that purchase at 10:00 am rather than 4:55 pm. Split uo and each buy 2 items... sheeshhh. And who can't igure out the profit margins of a leg wax vs a bar of gold. Wow!!!

The guys didn't even try in that eposide. Not to sound discimining ro anything, men are better at negotiating in general.

Some of the women really did negotiate, some were simply annoyingly persistent. I think the men just took no for an answer way too easilly. Of course it looked like they were pressed for time. The men completely blew the leg wax thing, they walked into a high dollar salon. I think they could have gotten a deal, they just weren't willing to embarass themselves by pushing hard for a deal. The men seemed like they had a good idea with the Homebase idea, but I don't think they really tried to wheel and deal over the phone. I think if they had, they might have found some better deals.

I dont know if any of you caught Conan tonight, but Trump is one of his guests. He insists that everyone on the show has an IQ of 200.
He threw that fact into the conversations at least five times.I just found that amusing. |

The men were probably willing to follow Sam's direction and let him lead them to the loss. If Sam would have put up and shown himself to be a good leader they probably would have pushed harder and had a shot, but, since Sam showed himself to be an idiot once again, they didn't really have much of a shot. Some of the deals they got where they got $1 off the retail price though, seemed really stupid.
The only time I was really impressed with anyone during the entire episode was the women buying the golf club, "Hey I'll give you cost + 10%, that way you'll still make money" and the guy agreeing to that. The rest of it looked like a lot of begging, not negotiating to me. |

First of all, what was that guy doing not shaving his legs first? I've never had my legs waxed, but I can imagine it would be a lot less painful that way.
I also completely agree with what one of the men was saying. Gold is gold. Its price is almost fixed. The labor + material for a leg wax is probably $10, and a golf club sale is like 50% profit for the reseller, and this is where the women picked up most of their money. |

Didn't the women get a nice deal on the gold? The women did a good job dealing though. |

what was it... they paid $395 for a retail value of $400 I think. The fellas did all that reworking for a dollar savings... give me a day in manhattan and I could do better... well, maybe... |
