Problem with New Board

One thing I've noticed since the upgrade is that the little arrow taking you to where you last were in a thread doesn't work right anymore. It usually takes me to some place earlier in the thread even if I've posted later. I came to like the little arrow's function, so I hope it can be fixed (unless it is just me who has this problem).

I had the same problems with the old board as I do with the new - the arrow not working quite right sometimes, as well as the "mark all as read" sometimes "resetting" and showing all threads as if I haven't read them. It will work for one or two visits, and then the next visit, all threads will be bold.

But like I said, I had both of these problems on the old board as well.

The arrows worked fine for me on the old version, don't know why they're crazy with the new sw?

I'm seeing the same problem John has mentioned... I thought it was just me and my rogue Mozilla Firebird browser...

I've also noticed that when I refresh on a thread that I'm reading, it will often bounce me up further in the thread (to the same point as the arrow sends me) and then I have to scroll back down to the bottom.

I would guess not because it worked fine in the old board, works fine on other boards, and I don't get taken to the beginnning of a thread. Maybe I'm missing something, though, so you have a solution with messing with cookies, let me know.

Bump, I'm still having the same problems and I'm hoping SD or Ryan S will see this.

I am not having any problems with this feature (though I have not used it before today), and I can not find anything about this at the vBulletin site.

Could anybody who is having this problem please tell me what browser they are using?

I'm using IE on two different computers and both have the problem. I've noticed today that the problems seems to be one of recency and updating. If I visit a thread and come back hours/days later, the little arrow works fine. If, however, I refresh it or return to it right away, I'm in the wrong place. For a test, I would go to a thread, post, immediately return to it and refresh after someone else posts. It is that patten that seems to show all the problems for me. That is my experience, anyway.
