My New Machine

Well, off the recommendations of just about everyone on this board, I decided that for my next upgrade I'd order from newegg.com The day has finally arrived, after finishing my taxes and finding out I was getting a HUGE return. I've already got a nice 120gb harddrive, a 17 inch monitor, and a good case that I'll be keeping. My current system is a 1.4 ghz Athlon tbird with a GF3 Ti200, 768 megs of ram and SBLive sound. Not a slug by any means, but it is starting to show its age in some games, and I'm a tech nerd anyway ;- )

So anyway, here's what I ordered:

Sapphire Radeon 9600XT Ultra Edition w/ Halflife 2 coupon
Soundblaster Audigy ES
AMD XP 2800+ Barton with 512k cache
1 gig (512x2) PC-3200 Corsair Value Pak DFI NFII Ultra NForce2 Motherboard
Vantec VA4-C7040 heatsink/fan
CoolMax 400W Powersupply

Then I picked up some PC2100 ram for my laptop (256 megs) and for my wife's computer (512 megs)

Free shipping on everything except the heatsink, which was odd. Anyway, the total was right at $800, which I thought was fantastic for what I got. This stuff should be here sometime early next week. Horray!
