Rob's GotW - 21.13
Canada IV.23
Bbors (29830 bbor) v. Gozarians With Montreal suffering an improbable 4-0 shellacking at the hands of the 4th place side this weekend, bbor finds himself in the midst of a 3-way tie at the top of Canada's IV.23. In week 2, these two teams played to a 2-2 draw. Gozarians will be at home to Montreal in the finale, while Bbors will face soon to be relegated Singularity. All teams named from mathematics or physics should be relegated, so that's something. Canada IV.57
Jonesin Unit v. Les Joujoux (72681 Ally) Ally appears to have another team that suffers from the stupid game engine that rewards midfield overmuch . Seriously, besides the midfield that have a pretty good team, yet they still are on the brink of relegation. Joujoux fell to Jonesin 3-2 at home in week 2. These two squads play the top two teams next week, so this game figures to decide their fate. USA IV.46
Raiders FC - Morrisville Morrisvillians (70926 NevStar) MM are trying to keep their heads above the water here. For the life of me, looking at their ratings, I can't understand why. I guess hanging around in wussy assed divisions like IV.10 makes you soft. Morrisville took the Raiders apart to the tune of 5-1 in week 2. Maybe they can go and give the RAY DURS some more of that in their backyard. Then they can look forward to another long season in this wonderful series. Calibiri are also a part of this mix, currently in a battle for 2nd-4th positions, currently in 3rd, 1 point below 2nd and 1 point above 4th. USA IV.47
Tomahawks (71138 -Panther) v. The BoozeHounds Tomahawks can win this and then start thinking about a promotion match. The BoozeHounds have a walkover next week, while Tomahawks face the other presumptive relegee. The Tomahawks managed a 2-1 win on the road in week 2. Of course, the BoozHounds got two men sent off in that one. USA II.3
Sporting Loxahatche v. Knights of the Apocalypse (8090 apoc) Panther City FC (8081 Lone Star) v. TiMeWaR Two weeks to go, and very little has been decided here. Apoc got the short end last week, losing to Siena AC 1-nil at home. This week they try to continue Sporting's losing streak. They were 2-nil losers at home in week 2. It's probably time for them to start getting nervous. PCFC are starting to relax a little about relegation, the 18 points they have now are a near lock to be enough to avoid the auto drop. Now they have their sights set on the title. They also lost their week 2 matchup, this time on the road 5-1. USA V.183
beerswillers v. Fairfaz Fizz (229217 Bee) The Fizz head into the final two weeks at 11-0-1, and still have two teams to shake off. They play them both in the final two weeks. First up are the beerswillers, who just took out Full Flanullto put the Fizz into first place. There sure are a lot fricken F's in this series. The Fizz tapped the swillers by score of 6-1 in week 2. They finally face the only team to beat them back in week 1, the Flanull, next week. USA V.189
YamatoJyu v. Ajax Hawks (70556 Ajaxab) The Bastards and Yamato fought to a draw last week, and the Hawks popped into first place as a result. Now all they have to do is deal with Yamato and then the Bastards in the last two weeks. They beat Yamato 2-0 in week 2, and lost to the Bastards 2-0 in week 1. |

Bbors (29830 bbor) v. Gozarians 1 - 1
UGH! a very unsavory result, both teams are now two points out of first point. Bbors is not dead yet, needing Gozarians to beat the first place team next week while the put a beatdown on a division relegee to make up small goal difference problem. Jonesin Unit v. Les Joujoux (72681 Ally) 0 - 6 That's better. Ally should now survive to a qualifer, presuming the top two teams in the division beat down on both of these teams in the finale. Raiders FC - Morrisville Morrisvillians (70926 NevStar) 1 - 0 Ouch, and Morrisville manage to fall all the way to the basement with 1 week to go, with the other basement dweller pulling a surprise upset. Morrisville are now 1 point behind the 6th and 7th place teams, and they play each other next week. Yeah, that's right, they need an upset win plus a tie between two other teams to survive for a qualifier. Tomahawks (71138 -Panther) v. The BoozeHounds 2 - 0 This win gives the Tomahawks the title in division USA IV.47. They are, however, not in contention for autopromotion, so we will look forward to their qualification match in two weeks. Sporting Loxahatche v. Knights of the Apocalypse (8090 apoc) 4 - 1 Panther City FC (8081 Lone Star) v. TiMeWaR 5 - 1 In a division that has been so close all season, these were a couple of surprising blowouts. apoc's loss means that he will have to climb out of the basement over two other teams if they are to survive in II.3. Lone Star's win means that he is 1 point below the division leaders. Lone Star and apoc clash next week. beerswillers v. Fairfaz Fizz (229217 Bee) 5 - 0 Dare I say that the Fizz fizzled out? Probably shouldn't have. The loss was bad, but 5-0 puts a real crimp in the goal difference problem. The Fizz are tied in 2nd, 1 point of first, and play the first place team next week. The bigger problem is that they are now down 6 units of goal difference to the beerswillers, where they were 4 ahead a week ago. YamatoJyu v. Ajax Hawks (70556 Ajaxab) 4 - 0 Another big loss by a team that could have won their division today. Ajax will get another chance next week. |

Ahhh my Division!! Actually, Yamato should be #1, but they focused on the cup. They had 2 lottery pulls in the 1st and 3rd week of the season, that netted them $5.9 million. Sad thing is, with Ajax and Crazy slated to take each other on for the #1 spot in the division next week, and both of them with loses, it looks like they will have to play each other normal, then MOTS their qualifier to move up. If not, depending on who promotes to our Div from 6, this looks to be a rough series for another season for All of us.

It's so nice to have a little breathing room going into the last match with apoc. I fully expect him to pound me, but so long as the 5th place team in the series doesn't make up the 9-goal difference I have on him (plus a 10th goal to beat me on tiebreakers) then I'm cool.
