Tiger Pudge
Pudge is now officially a Tiger, can the AL Central Title be far behind?

If he can do wonders with the pitching staff, like he did in FLA, the Tigers could be good pretty fast. Their guys have some live arms, they just need to learn how to pitch.

Are you serious????? One player is not going to make the Tigers a good team. |

One player made the Marlins a HELL of a lot better.. without him, they wouldn't have a World Series team. Maybe not even a playoff team. |

The Tigers already improved their team quite a bit this offseason even before they signed Pudge. I don't expect them to challenge for the AL Central but they will be much improved. |

OK, this does make the Tigers better, but let's be realistic. Even if they improve by a staggering amount--like, say, 30 games, which would be incredible--they would still only finish 73-89. Even in the piece of crap AL Central, that won't do.
(But, hey, speaking as a bitter White Sox fan, I've got to say, it's cool that the Tigers are at least doing SOMETHING.) ![]()

Too bad they don't still play on the corner of Michigan & Trumbull. I went to one game at comerica. Sat in the upper deck, left field. The constant whurrrrrrrrr of the air conditioners for the damn luxury suites seemed to be the loudest thing I heard. All, the sounds of the game!
And then they build a dome next door. A DOME!!! We all saw how well a good dome team like the Colts play outdoors. At least they could have built a retractable roof on the damn thing. Way to go Lions. You show us in so many ways how much you want to win. (at least they can hold the next janet jackson concert there. ahh, the bottom line...) |
